Did Haas send out any more invitations on the last day last year or is everyone at this point just hoping for a waitlist or something?

it looks like they did send out a couple invites on the last day in previous years. hoping they do the same this year. this wait is brutal.

Ha. I got asked that yesterday in here... Yes, but (at this point) it doesn't look like I will get the option to choose. Wharton is a great program and I can't complain if that is the only place I get in, Haas just seemed like a better fit for me.

Huh, dinged, no interview, no wait list. 750 gmat, four years experience at matriculation, decent GPA...kinda surprised. Must be something I said?

Ding. Oh well.

Law degree from a top ranked school, years of work experience at big name firms, lots of volunteer experience in the field I want to go into, significant community involvement and leadership experience, Bay Area resident....and not even a waitlist.

I got rejected from Berkeley for undergrad, law school, and now the MBA program. I thought you loved us bleeding heart types who want to change the world. I get it Berkeley.. you're just not that into me. :(

Probably Kellogg, unless NYU offers me a lot of moola (c'mon NYU). I'm sad to know I'm leaving my rent controlled apartment, but it's not like I have to slum it in any way. So much to be thankful for!!

I think a lot of business schools have this skewed perception that people w/ law degrees can do anything, so they think "why do they need an MBA for?". Not at all true. I've been trying to get into my target field for the last two years w/ no luck, and I've been told I need to get an MBA degree in order to do so because no one will take my career change seriously. I'm very much not going to bschool for the money - just trying to get into a field where I make a positive impact and be the instigator, rather than facilitator, of that positive impact.

Just got the email. Looks like I was waitlisted. Good luck to everyone with their application and admission process! By the way does anyone know of any other MBA forums about admission other than gmat.com?

In the mean time still waiting for a few more schools!
