Congratz dreamscomealive!!

I submitted my message on forum being dead, and immediately after that, saw your message.. :)

Would be great if you can share your profile, location, admission coordinator and when you submitted your application.

Got a mail from my admission coordinator. Almost jumped with joy thinking it was interview invite and then I realised that the adcom couldn't see some info on my app and she just wanted that..The silver lining..I atleast know my app is under review :|

Thank you ra011y! :) How are your apps going?
I got my first invitation to interview from IESE about a month back. I heard back from the adcom a week after I submitted my apps! Super fast response! I have submitted both my INSEAD and my Oxford apps and am waiting for a response! Come on INSEAD, show me some love!! :)

Yea, it seems quite slow. Maybe enough people haven't submitted their apps? Maybe we are the early birds? :)

It's true enkie. I don't know why, but I'm feeling the same.

Congratulations for the invitation.

Yeah, or it seems like this forum has traditionally been more active on US school threads. Congrats on the invite from IESE! Very exciting :)

Are you applying to other schools in R2? Did you apply to only three so far?

Brazilian - Thank you! :)

nowwhat -- I dont recall anyone from India region reporting invites yet. Seems like so far just Western Europe and USA at the moment.

Thanks!! Yes, I have only applied to 3 so far. I have time till 4 Nov to see if I get invites from Oxford and INSEAD. If I get an invite, im pretty sure I can crack atleast 1 of the 2 or 3 interviews. If I dont get any other invites, il wait till the R2 dealine for 2/3 other schools and see if I can get a decision from IESE before then. IF I dont get an admit (nooooooo!), il apply to 2-3 other schools in R2.

What schools have you finished applying to?

That approach makes sense. I have a similar approach as well. Applied to 5 in R1: oxford, cambridge, insead, wharton and lbs. If none works out (noooooo) then i would consider mit, haas, hec paris and maybe imd. :)

Wow...5 colleges in R1...That's 5 times more than what I could manage...

And hopefully the interview invites start rolling out for Indians next week...

Yeah it was exhausting for sure. I wanted to get the decisions all around the same time so I can plan accordingly -- otherwise, lordy, I would have done 2 - 3 each round instead.... :)

rajatar - yes you are totally right. It's definitely really expensive. Worth it though if I can see at once which i get into and which is the best in the long term (and which offers scholarship). :)

Ya.. Depends which one works best for you. Ideally, I would want to see some results first, and depending on outcome, would introspect and apply to next set of schools... Though I guess, 3-4 is right number for R1, and I did miss on a couple of schools.. :(
