Ummm, okay... I did not get dinged and did not get an interview invite. My letter said to retake the GMAT because my "score does not correlate well with the overall quality of your application." If I "sufficiently" improve my score then "it is highly likely that you will be pre-selected for interviews."

It was a nightmare of mine to take the GMAT again... didn't think it would actually come true.

My Q was below their 75% mark, but V was above 95% - I was told explicitly to increase Q, so I will be hitting the books again starting this weekend.

Any idea till what time they send mails. If they are done for today, I can sleep relaxed. Otherwise I have been sitting on the edge of my seat refreshing my mail every minute.

I have received the details of my interviewers yesterday. Does INSEAD send an email to the interviewers or do I have to contact them first? Should I wait for the interviewers to contact me or send them an email first?

Its also mentioned in the email that both the interviews need to be done by the end of Nov.

I asked the same question last week.
From what I read hereI think admission coordinators send confirmation mails and that is how people learn who is thier adcor. But in my case admission team without any particular name sent the confirmation mail and today preselection mail.

btw, where are you from?

You should contact the alumini to organize the meetings. You also have to send them the profile section of your application form.

BTW, tomorrow I have my first interview with a 06J alumn.

hi guys.....

woke up this morning with alarm clock sounding "DING" dong
M/India/690/5yrs/Merchant Navy

what i could make out was " a relative weakness in even one area" could do wonders...a straight ding...

Adcoms have got used to near perfect applicants...seats are obviously less....its a big world and finding 500 good applicants is no big deal.........

i am sure i got dinged by the weak recommendations....mine one was a coffee break recom. and very general...
but by the time i realised that the applicatn was not perfect(way too far from it) the deadline whistled and passed by..

but no point being disheartened.....keep up guys....dont settle for less...keep taking risks...
best of luck for those having interview calls....INSEAD is a great school

see u all in duke 2012 and darden 2012 posts.....

its time for -OH (alchohol group) :-D ....

Yes....from what i can make out from various forums so far.... there are 3-4 references to the mail and all have the same content!!
