Just had a phone conversation with UCLA admissions.. heres the low down
1. If your application turns complete, it remains complete. There will be nothing on the application showing its under review...the complete status means its either already under review or waiting to be reviewed
2. Interviews are on a case by case basis. Since UCLA is doing interviews by invitation only, it wants to interview as many applicants as possible. At this point the lady on the phone did not tell me if that means applicants who dont get interviewed get dinged, but she told me that it may be possible that you can get admitted into UCLA without an interview.. so if you dont get an interview call, dont panic.
3. Interviews will start going out soon. She did not tell me a date.. but it will carry out during the school's winter break and possibly at that time, UCLA alumni might conduct interviews. Since the deadline is Jan 18, there will be cases when the interviews will carry over to first week of Jan or later.
4. interviews will be on campus and alumni.. the standard stuff.. she did not tell me if interviews are already going out..
so fellow applicants (all 6 of us or more if anyone else is lurking), hope this helps... keep ur fingers crossed.
