Ding for me, I'm in shock, unbelievable. Safe to say my Haas will be a ding too, I haven't gotten an interview anywhere. just in shock... I can't even believe how much time and money I have spent applying and how far off I am from my goals.

Congrats everyone that got in, when I first started studying for GMAT, UCLA was my top goal, it's a great school. Then when I scored 770, I was very confident I could get in. When I went to the Anderson info session, <rant> I will be very honest with you, the student panel was a joke, they were interested in 3 things: partying, partying, and money. I thought surely I qualify if these are 3 typical students. </rant>

I think my crappy work experience and age (33) are killing me. Not sure what to do now...

Did anyone get any scholarship $$? Is that something you would find out on the call? They left a message but I'm wondering if I should call them back about it?

All of the people who got called before Christmas got $$$.

Tarmac, I can feel for you: I’m an oldie too… But don’t be discouraged. You could still apply to some top European schools; they are definitely more age-friendly. I’d say you have a very solid chance with that GMAT score there.

I feel your pain...although I think just being a male engineer is enough of a non-diversity factor.

I am actually pretty surprised that rjacobs got waitlisted. Stanford interview and UCLA waitlist seems odd to me.

How come there isn't a single applicant on this board who scored a 690 or below and got in? This board is obviously not representative of the UCLA admissions class, as the median gmat score is around 710... that means there must be plenty of 690s and below.

In fact, looking at this forum, in general, it seems that 90% of applicants scored above 720. I'm worried because I only scored a 690, and I really want to go to UCLA or Harvard. Hopefully, my essays will be strong enough to get me in, since clearly my GMAT doesn't compare with everyone else applying.

Gclub members never claimed that the results/profiles on our roll call page are representative of all the applicants for the Class of 2011. (it's just a way for us to keep score of who got in and who got dinged)

GMAT score is only one aspect of your entire application. Believe it or not, many of the members in this forum suffered greatly from anxiety related issues while waiting for their bschool fate in the round 1. If you visit other school roll call page results, you will see that plenty of Gclub members with 700+ GMAT scores failed to receive admits.

It's adcoms' job to judge whether they want to invite you to this year's admit class. Since all the hard work is already done, let;s try to relax and wait for the results. :-D
