Cambridge Vs Cornell MBA

Question

I got into 3 schools for MBA:

Cambridge with no scholarship; Cornell with 20k/year scholarship; Notre Dame with 45k/year scholarship.

Profile: Indian Female, Architect working in digital marketing for a publishing platform, 3 years WE. Post-MBA, I'm looking to transition to a product marketing management role.

I'm inclined towards Cambridge due to more 90% international cohort, and UK and Europe in general, but also concerned about post-MBA job opportunities in the UK and the 1-year program's impact on students from non-traditional backgrounds. Any advice in choosing between these schools would be super helpful.

The Cornell Johnson may be a better fit for your goals. You are right that if you are looking to transition to a competitive field like PM, a one-year program offers you less opportunity (and time.)

Cornell Johnson also has the added benefit of the Cornell Tech campus. You could definitely leverage the resources there to make it work.

Yes, your UK/EU network would be stronger if you went to Cambridge but it's not like Cornell doesn't have an international name and that going there would prevent you from recruiting internationally. You would just need to organize your internship and full-time job search more diligently than if you were to be already based in the UK/EU.

Plus, you're getting $20K in scholarship money so that's not too bad.
