For admission into EMBA into canadian colleges. Which would be a better choice to take. GMAT or GRE ?
I am unable to achieve a good score in GMAT, so thought perhaps GRE would be a better choice.
Hi No Bug - for EMBA, the GMAT standards are significantly lower. I helped an Indian applicant to Wharton EMBA get in with a 700 and so I have to believe that you would be competitive for York or whatever. That said, how committed are you to doing an EMBA in Canada? You might be leaving money on the table - would you consider a program like a one year residential ie Stanford MSx? Or Sloan Fellows?
Normally if a full-time applicant is having trouble attaining a 700+ score on GMAT I recommend they take the free
MGMAT exam for GRE and see what happens. Last season I had 2 candidates submit GRE one is now at Wharton the other Columbia.
However in your case with EMBA, the focus is much more on your work experience and what you can contribute on that level. Are you sure that is the best fit? You have great STATS and I wonder if this is the best decision. Do you have a great job/work trajectory over the next 2 years and can't leave?
