Regardless of age, people who want fewer working hours typically opt for corporate roles. Many companies openly advertise that you're unlikely to see more than 45-50 hours/week in ops, marketing, finance, strategy, brand/product management, etc. This is true across many industries. I also know plenty of folks with spouses and kids that are going in to consulting. You're correct that it's somewhat more rare for IB.

Thanks buddy!

Do you know what kind of starting salaries and career growth these fields (ops, marketing, finance, strategy, brand/product management) see? I guess, I am asking a very broad question, but any data would be helpful  I have seen very few friends who have gone into consulting at 34-35 age and still managed pretty well. One of my friends is working on some long term project and does very little travel .. he got kind of a great deal :-D

Corporate salaries vary quite a bit with the function of the role, industry, and your office location. Most programs publish their employment reports. Spend a few minutes Googling and you'll find a lot of data.
