Hi all,

I am very interested in the Said program but do want to make a career change to investment banking post-MBA. I am coming from a non-finance role and have a liberal arts undergraduate degree from a highly-regarded (non-Ivy) US institution. Is it possible to make this switch by leveraging the school's resources and program (recruiting, Finance Lab etc.)? I am aware that the banks recruit through their internship programs for full-time roles and that the Said program does offer the ability to do a summer internship.

I know that this switch can be more challenging at 1 year programs but was curious if it could be done.

Cheers!

yes, can be done. you will have to work very hard. 1. pre-mba fin prep 2. pre mba fin internship 3. SBS fin lab (very intense, some even leave it after taking) 4. networking 5. MBA internship after ur 3rd term at SBS

every year, there are cases of ppl transitioning to finance at SBS, but these cases are not common. On positive note, school is gearing up to help in this regard.
