C is the clear winner.

Upon applying negation test on these answer choice, it gets something like that

IT IS NOT THE CASE THAT It is unlikely that many of these unmarried Prenlandic men will marry women more than a few years older than themselves.

if it is true then it shatters the conclusion "Clearly, however, unless many of them marry women who are not Prenlandic, all but a minority will remain unmarried"

using negation

C It is likely that many of these unmarried Prenlandic men will marry women more than a few years older than themselves. this weakens the stmt more than E

E Most of the unmarried Prenlandic men are willing to marry women who are not Prenlandic

E negation has less effect than C negation.
Hence C seems to be the most probable answer

Looks like the age-old tradition or cultural binding; groom should be older than the bride is also considered in the fictional land, Prenland, in case of marriage. This is the underlying assumption here which is reflected correctly in option C and makes it the answer.

GMATNinja The Conclusion falls apart on negating both C and E, then why is C the answer?

Negating C : It is likely that many of these unmarried Prenlandic men will marry women more than a few years older than themselves.

Negating E : Most of the unmarried Prenlandic men are willing to marry women who are not Prenlandic.

In both cases the conclusion 'Clearly, however, unless many of them marry women who are not Prenlandic, all but a minority will remain unmarried.' fails.
