Before starting in an MBA classroom I am looking to take a certificate class? I got accepted into HBX CORe (Harvard Business School Extension Credential of Readiness). This program is not for credit and includes economics for managers, business analytics, and financial accounting. Another program is from UC Berkley Extension School and it is called Math for Management. It is for two credits and it covers mathematical foundations in business concepts, microeconomics, time value of money, interest and annuities, capital budgeting, investments and valuation, portfolio theory, probability, and statistics. Which course would look better through the eyes of an adcom? Both programs look fantastic. Obviously Harvard is an amazing school so I would not expect this course to be anything less than stellar and it is taught by Harvard professors. While UC Berkley's course has a more diverse topic range. Thoughts and opinions would be highly appreciated! Thank you.
