Chicago Booth is making some changes to its admissions process. Until this year, selected students (Admissions Fellows) were responsible for both reading applications and interviewing prospective students. Beginning next year, Admissions Fellows will no longer read applications. Dedicated staff will assume this responsibility. Admissions Fellows will continue to conduct interviews.
Students’ real value stems from their familiarity with student life and culture, and this value will continue to be leveraged in the interview. As always, interviews are the best opportunity for both interviewer and interviewee to gauge the fit of the other party.
Again, this change is slated to be implemented next admissions cycle. This year’s Round 3 applications (which have been submitted already) will be evaluated in accordance with the old system.
