hey, guys. it's still on my list. i finish my intern aug 15 and i am not sure what i will be doing that weekend...maybe flying to chicago!

Just tell your movers you will pay them a little extra to bring it all the way up. Thats probably what they want anyways. It wouldnt be tough if they drop it next to the elevators and you can get a two wheel dolly. Make sure you talk to the maitenance guy at your building they probably have one.

Hopefully the weather is better that night than right now. We have a nice severe thunderstorm rolling through right now...bad first day to be here. CFAmiami said it has been beautiful since he got here until today.

The week before I will email out a headcount so we can make reservations somewhere.PLEASE KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR THAT EMAIL SO THAT I CAN GET AN ACCURATE HEADCOUNT (Please sign up for the google group if you havent)

I'm thinking Tango Sur -

1) It's a few blocks from an L stop
2) It's roughly inbetween Evanston (7.7 mi) and Downtown (7.3 mi)
3) It's about a $15 cab ride from downtown (prob similar from Evanston)
4) It's BYOB so itll be cheaper than some other choice
5) There's a tremendous amount of food for your dollar - we can easily share
6) There are a lot of bars nearby if we are so inclined
7) Someone else suggested it at some point, so I know at least one other person thinks its a good idea
8) Although primarily meat, there are vegetarian options if needed including oven baked eggplant layered with spinach, provolone, parmesan and ricotta, served with a delicious tomato cream sauce or pasta dishes like ravioli with spinach, potato dumplings, fettucine, etc.
If of course, 90% of you happen to be vegetarian, we should go somewhere else, so please raise your hand if you are, and I can go back to brainstorming.

Judging by how busy I have been already and the fact my furniture isnt supposed to arrive until next friday (have to get that all unpacked and settled quickly before KWEST)...I dont think I will be able to make it. Just trying to get settled in and meeting classmates has been hectic.

Tell that to my wife...We have so much crap that we are worried about where it will all fit. I was out with some of the other gmatclub members and I think the consensus is we are already too occupied with things to even be able to schedule anything more than a day in advance. I am doubting the turnout of the Kellogg folks...seems everyone is wrapped up in life in Evanston already and will take a few months until people have settled into a routine.
