Yep - it's like lacrosse on bumper cars - while drunk.

Another suggestion for a get-together: people may remember me wanting to start a GMAT Club indoor karting league team (probably not), but there's always https://www.chicagoindoorracing.com. It's a bit of a drive outside the city, but it's guaranteed good times.

Lets do this...

If you are interested, please PM me:

Your First Name
Your Email
Your Phone #

I will coordinate. PLEASE PM ME THIS NOW, WHILE YOU ARE STILL ACTIVE ON GMATCLUB!!

I honestly believe we can have a great intra-school network next year, but people have to step up now and share this information while we can still get a hold of each other. Come August you will all be so busy, odds are a good portion of you will not be back on gmatclub. Sad, but true. Thats no reason however not to take advantage of this opportunity -- whether you are going to Kellogg or Chicago: its a great chance to establish a network of peers before you start school which will help you refine your career goals, quickly identify good study partners and start school with a major leg up on those without a similar support network. Ross people or anyone else in the area (Depaul, etc) by all means, sign up!!

So please, I implore you, send me this information and lets get together.

Or alternatively, just sign up for a google group and we can coordinate that way.

I agree that the neighbors (Ross) should be part of the meetup. I added that in the first post. Prasad, can you please add the Wolverines list in the first post.

You are more than welcome to join - I just assumed that realistically Ross was a bit too far for you guys to be interested in coming in for a gmatclub get together, but by all means, go ahead and sign up ;)

Heck even by train its only 4.5 hours. That's only slightly longer than it takes for me to visit my home town. On a bad traffic Friday it takes about 7 hours.

Well, today it's 85% Chicago, 15% Wharton (if I get off the waitlist) :)

I think August, 23-24 would be a perfect time.

For us at Kellogg things start going for KWEST on August 22nd (we leave for KWEST on the 23rd). I would suggest the week of August 18th.

Thats probably a good week, chicago random walk dates match up:

Q: When are the trip dates?
A: All trips depart on either Saturday August 23, 2008 or Sunday August 24, 2008 and will return on either Saturday August 30, 2008 or Sunday August 31, 2008. A few trips will return on Monday September 1 2008, which is Labor Day.

I would agree the week of the 18th makes sense.

I hope I will be back in the US by Aug 18th and make this meetup.

good initiative
how about August 31st? since September 1st is labor day ... we will all have a long weekend before school starts.

I also checked the Amtrak schedule for us Rossies :) and the following seemed the most convenient:

AA - Chi 12:56 PM - 4:41PM (Sunday)
Chi - AA 12:15 PM - 5:47 PM (Monday)

There are 3 trains per day between AA and Chicago ... so I think it would be totally doable for us to come to the meeting.
