CMU Tepper 2026 MSPM

Question

Hi guys,

is it worth applying for MSPM at CMU Tepper for Spring 2026? I am feeling pessimistic about the program as I am unable to get adequate data like the past employment report from 2023 and have also not been able to get information other than which is provided on their website, not sure about the internship data as well. Since I am already possessing an MBA from India from a tier 3 college, it causes a limitation to pursue another MBA abroad.

Also my target industry is the Big Tech organizations and would like to transition into a Product Role.

Hi Arsenal98 I sent one mentee to Tepper MSPM the year before last. He graduated last year and is currently working at a big tech company in the USA. Your best chance will be to speak with someone who has recently graduated. The class size is very small, so there is a strong focus on recruiter and industry interaction built into the curriculum. I hope you understand the pre requisite for the program, i.e you must already be in a tech focused role or are making active efforts to transition through projects, internships etc. Having solid technical knowledge is an advantage (also part of the evaluation). One of my friend did his MBA from Tepper, It's a decent B School, You will have a great network especially if you want to build on Tech career, Bcs it has one of the top Tech programs in the world. You can connect with any of their AdCom memebers to discuss on these aspects.

If you're targeting Big Tech and product roles, Tepper's MSPM can open doors, but your concerns are valid. Lack of transparent placement data is worrying. Try reaching out directly to current students or alumni—they often provide insights the website can’t.

I’d only go ahead if you can connect with alumni or admissions to clarify placements. Tepper has a great brand but product roles in Big Tech are super competitive—make sure the ROI makes sense before committing.

Given your MBA background and target role, the MSPM is worth a look only if it offers strong product-focused courses and solid employer connections. Without verified placement data though, it’s risky. Push for more info from admissions or current students.

Hi guys, I wrote to the mspm admin two days ago asking about placement’s and the ongoing focus on universities receiving foreign funding but got no response. I did not apply yet but given today is the deadline for the application waiver and no clarity on placements, I’m going to let this slide. Unless someone here can tell me a compelling reason to apply to the his super ambiguous MSPM program. I know we all have the same questions and I see the threads speaking the same thing with no clarity provided is shady. What are your thoughts about this issue? Anyone applied yet and why would help everyone here. So please reply.

I have applied and I didn't get good response during the interview from the Interviewer as she was in a hurry. Were you able to find any information about this? Also, what is your take in the program?
