Hi Guys, I have just started my GMAT prep, and planning to take GMAT in the next 2 months. I have scored 580 in mocks based on which I have decided to attend some courses or coaching for structured guidance. Please advise me on Jumboree live virtual classes or e-gmat courses?
Hi Mkrocks,
It is really important to select the right resource for your GMAT preparation. Because the resource you use to study, molds your way of approach towards GMAT and ultimately decide your GMAT score. I understand that you mus be quite confused regarding which course to select as there are umpteen number of courses available online. Let me share a few insights here on how to select the right online course.
The
best way to select the course is to check the free trial of the course and then decide whether it is suitable for you or not. There are plenty of online courses available and in your case as you are confused between the two, I would recommend you to check the free trial of both the courses and then decide. But while going through the free trial, it is important that you
keep a few things in mind so that you can evaluate the course based on them. You can find those key points in the blog below.

The key factors to consider while evaluating the right course”. You can read through it to understand how to evaluate any course.
What more does the course offer other than just providing you the course content?
As the syllabus for GMAT is fixed, the course content which the courses offer might be more or less the same. So, you need to look for something beyond that. As
GMAT is an application driven test, it is really important to understand the right methodology to solve questions. And moreover, it is really important to have a proper study plan so that you can dedicate a particular slot in a day for studying without any distractions. So, the best way to
motivate yourself to study everyday is to have clear deadlines. Having said that, a person who can dedicate 5 hours a day cannot have the same deadline as a person who can dedicate only 3 hours a day. As most students are working professionals, and are at different positions, the number of hours they can dedicate is not the same. So, a generic plan would not suffice.
The solution is a personalized study plan!
Sounds good but what does it actually mean? A personalized study plan is something which takes into account the number of hours a person can dedicate in a week and the approximate deadlines and then creates weekly tasks based on that. For example, a person who can dedicate 20 hours a week and plans to appear for the test in 3 months has to have different weekly tasks compared to a person who can dedicate 40 hours a week and plans to appear in 45 days. So, a personalized study plan, which takes into account the number of hours you can dedicate in a week, will help you stay motivated right till the end because you have weekly deadlines to meet. Students can focus on just finishing the tasks scheduled for the day and take care of their office work.
So, I would recommend you to look for a course
