I am a merchant navy professional having 6 years experience as a marine engineer .
I am looking for a 1 year executive program and have shortlisted IIMA and ISb.

Would like some suggestions according to my profile as which to choose

Thankyou

Profile wise you have diversified profile to these both schools. You will get admit with lesser than their average GMAT score. However, you will not get more hike in the package compared to your merchant navy package.

You have unique profile which is a good thing. Work upon both applications even with average GMAT score. Admission consultants would better guide you with specifics.

You should apply to both- the IIM MBAs and ISB. The decision to choose will come later when you have multiple admits in hand. If you apply only to 1-2 programs and do not get into any, it will be a year gone before you can apply again and that would be a waste of time. A better strategy is to apply to 4-6 MBA programs and then have the option to select the one that best fits your learning and development needs
