Hi everyone!
I am lucky enough to have been accepted to Columbia and Ross, both among my top choices. Now it’s time to make a decision and I’m having a hard time choosing between both schools as Ross has offered a full tuition scholarship + 20k cash for living expenses. For economic reasons, I am leaning toward Ross, but I can’t let go of the fact that it has always been my dream to go to an M7 school and I’m afraid I might regret it later.
A little bit more of context about my situation:
- I live in Latin America, currently work at MBB. I might get a sponsorship for the MBA but it is not likely due to the fact I haven’t been long enough in the position. Also, I would hear back with the sponsorship decision in May, so will have to make my decision without that information
- My plan post MBA is to return to Latin America and continue working in consulting
- I have some savings and I am very fortunate that my family is willing to support part of my tuition, if needed. If I were to choose Columbia, I would need to get a debt of at least $130k to cover the rest of the tuition and living expenses (rent, food, travel) for the two years
Would appreciate your thoughts!
