I want your help with Gmatclub questions. I need to practice SC and CR, as I have passed the cementing level for both, and I will move to RC practice as well. However, I'm not at ease with GMAT Club questions since they always include strange phrasing that I've never come across in my E-GMAT preparation or official questions.
For example: I have a query regarding this question. ------------------------------------------------------- Atul Gawande, the former surgeon general, in his book, The Checklist Manifesto, argues that doctors could use the same sort of checklists as pilots and greatly reduce the number of medical errors, saving both money and lives.
A) Atul Gawande, the former surgeon general, in his book, The Checklist Manifesto, argues that doctors could use the same sort of checklists as pilots and greatly reduce the number of medical errors, saving both
B) Atul Gawande, the former surgeon general, argues in his book, The Checklist Manifesto, that doctors could use the same sort of checklists that pilots do to greatly reduce the number of medical errors, saving both
C) Former surgeon general Atul Gawande argues in his book, The Checklist Manifesto, that doctors could use the same sort of checklists as pilots, greatly reducing the number of medical errors, saving
D) Former surgeon general Atul Gawande argues in his book, The Checklist Manifesto, that doctors could use the same sort of checklists that pilots do to greatly reduce the number of medical errors, both saving
E) In his book, The Checklist Manifesto, former surgeon general Atul Gawande argues that doctors could use the same sort of checklists that pilots use to greatly reduce the number of medical errors, saving
Correct Answer: B ----------------------------------------------------------
In this question, "That" is used for comparison in option B which is odd to me. Also, "that" is referring to checklists which means doctors and pilots are using same sort of checklist. According to me, the sentence means that doctors could use the same sort of checklists as pilots do. I have not encountered such construction issues while practicing with e-gmat scholaranium. Is the question's quality not up to par, or am I unaware of these structures? Can you please assist me with how should I go forward with my preparations?
