Hi Everyone,
I am having a lot of trouble analyzing my GMAT scores over the past several months. I will summarize exactly what I have done. My verbal score varies greatly between the two sources, so I am having trouble pinpointing whether verbal is a weak point in my preparation or not.
Manhattan Prep Exam #1 - 620 Q41 V35
Manhattan Prep Exam #2 - 580 Q41 V30
Manhattan Prep Exam #3 - 650 Q40 V38
I then took the real GMAT (I realize I took it prematurely) and scored a 590 (Q41 V31). I then rethought my study approach, and bought the Economist GMAT preparation software with the score guarantee. Since completing the Economist GMAT preparation course, and writing some more practice exams, these have been my scores:
Economist #1 - 540 Q42 V24
Economist #2 - 560 Q48 V21
Economist #3 - 590 Q49 V24
Manhattan Prep #4 - 680 Q46 V37
Manhattan Prep #5 - 650 Q44 V35
Manhattan Prep #6 - 650 Q44 V35
I assumed after preparation I was locked in at approximately 650 until I took another Economist Prep exam (I need to take all 5 prior to my exam for the "score guarantee.")
Taken earlier today:
Economist #4 - Q46 V27
It seems that my quantitative score is stuck around Q46-48 mark depending on the exam. The part I cannot comprehend is my variable in verbal score. I typically feel that I don't struggle in verbal that much, so I am wondering if one exam is known to be easier than other (ie.
Manhattan Prep questions are typically simple) or GMAT Economist Verbal is typically hard. Considering my official GMAT exam taken approximately 6 months ago was a V31, I am struggling to understand how all my subsequent Economist GMAT exams have had a lower verbal score.
Any help is much appreciated!
Regards,
Anton
