Hey Guys
I have my final GMAT attempt yesterday and got a 670 Q46 V36. I am from India with 4.5 years of work x in Finance and Marketing.
My only target country is Canada and I intend to pursue MBA in Finance.
I have short listed the schools as follows:-
1. DeGroote Co op
2. Schulich Indian / Canadian MBA
3. Rotman
4. IVEY
5. Queens
With an avg profile and low GMAT I know rotman is a long shot specially as I applied in the 3 round.
The reason I am inclined heavily towards DeGroote , Schulich and Rotman is bcz of their location . As I intend to work in the Finance / banking sector in Canada, Toronto I feel is the best place to be.
If someone who has been on the same track as me and can help me chose from the above ( if , if I get in atleast 2 of them ) would be great.
Degroote Schulich I applied in 2R and Rotman in R3. IVEY R1 for 2021 intake.
I would also love to hear what do you feel with my gmat score and overall profile , do i stand a decent chance?
Thanks
Sambhav
Hi Sambhav
- DeGroote may be a bit of a stretch for the Co-Op, given that you have 4.5 years of work-ex already. High chances they may offer you the full-time MBA instead.
- Schulich should be a possibility, if you put in a strong app.
- Rotman, while not impossible (
see here the profile of someone who made it to Rotman and to Ivey with scholarship at a 650 GMAT), would need to see the app you have put in and your profile to comment on your chances there.
- Queen's and Ivey are possible with strong apps, but need to see more of your profile to comment on those. You can send in your resume for evaluation to both schools.
