Hi. Sorry about that. That's annoying.
I would ping them. I actually have not heard of many people getting denied from a consortium application and my understanding was that you had to have a certain undergrad program to be eligible. However, seems I was wrong since they state their criteria are based on mission essays, mission recommendation, and resume.
I would guess that's the main difference between you and your wife.... at the same time, I would suggest that she applies to the Forte Foundation and uses that route - that's much better deal than consortium application. The Forte program is also worth it since she will be able to have all the app fee waived and honestly she is probably going to get into much better programs than you - there are a lot fewer women with military background than men (even if you are not a boring white dude

- she is a much more unique applicant).
I am somewhat surprised that she did not get through and you did... it seems strange but perhaps this could be again due to Forte and they figured she would not bother and just forte route instead... or am I mixing apples and oranges here?
P.S. Most people apply to consortium BEFORE they apply to Bschools so I don't think the schools necessarily "talk" to consortium like in a sense of coordinating dings and admits but the 2 groups definitely talk in terms of membership and goals. Schools sponsor and pay consortium is my understanding...

I have a few questions regarding the consortium membership application:
1. I got accepted but my wife didn’t. I see an issue here because we’re both active duty officers in the same unit, we’ve led the same people, been to the same deployments and conducted the same type of diversity and inclusion feats. Yet, she is white, I am black. She was denied. I hate to be that guy but.. somethings off here.
2. I read somewhere that you get membership because you got accepted to a school but don’t know it yet because the schools and consortium talk to each other. Is this valid?
3. If she is denied membership, what’s the likelihood the schools accept her as a consortium member? Does it mean she did not get accepted at a school yet?
