- Submit a business-style cover letter and a resume that addresses your career history as well as your educational and professional interests.
- The cover letter needs to conform to the standards of business correspondence and should be addressed to the Admissions Committee. It should point out the features of your resume that you believe will be of interest to the committee, drawing from your education, work experience, extracurricular activities, awards and honors. Please provide brief comments on your career goals and those factors that influenced your decision to pursue an MBA education....

So, what differs from the resume' and the goal or the "why MBA" essay?

An interesting challenge but they give you some cues ...

I think what they want here is not Why MBA, nor "tell me about a leadership experience" but really Why this school? Lets see if others agree. The way it reads to me is this:

"Please send us a cover letter, just as you would for a job, so please don't be all creative and draw the campus in the margins or something OK? It's cute but we don't want it. Also, we don't really want to hear a ton about what you want to do, just a brief statement please. Were most interested in a typical cover letter, so what we really want to know, is what do you bring to this school? Why is this school the right school for you? And how will you contribute? In other words, how have your experiences at work and in life prepared you to be a productive member of our class of 2009?"

Thats what I think.
