Seems to be A...

As D talks about special interest groups where as CN is about well funded special interest groups!

But a little confused as 700 level question might not be this direct!! :?

Well OA is simply A and its easy to say that there is a close tie between A and D. A says opposing group doesnt have money or resource to pay for advertisement but D says special group has that kind of resource. Can we really conclude from A that Special interest group actually does influence public? or can we conclude from D that opponents dont try to influence public by some other means?

Naah mate.... I slight miss from ur side...

Check option D carefully... it talks of only special interest group and not of well funded special interest group..... Hence D is anyway not even into consideration. But many people might miss this because they would presume it..

Even I missed it before.. Thats why I stated it in my answer previously...

D option tends to strengthen the argument by supporting the assumption that special interest groups can influence people.
Although A states that opposing parties do not have sufficient funds to influence public, we cannot state that special interest groups do have the funds to influence people.

Thus D is a better choice than A.

I did not pay attention that option D does not have "well funded special interest group" and fell for it. But I agree with mojor explanation and should be A.

A for me.

D is tempting -- but A is better.
