Please I need your advice: I am in the last part of my preparation to take the test. In the Verbal section, I am very good at RC, SC, and CR, except for Assumption questions.
In this type of Assumption questions, my probability of success is 0.50 - 0.60. In the other type of CR questions, I am doing it very well.
Should invest more time in studying Assumption questions? My goal in Verbal is 42.
Thanks!

Responding to a pm:
Chances are that you will get 1 assumption question, if at all, and hence there is very little risk. Just that sometimes I have heard people complaining about how they got 5 of a particular type of CR questions and hence it's best to cover the ground if you have time.

I'm also replying to a pm. I see you have already gotten help from Veritas Karishma, who is a GMAT genius, but I'll also add my 2¢.

Hi, Hope you already get good inputs from responses above. My two cents: Always remember that these questions are all about authors reasoning and not about facts. So think in term of how author is building his reasoning for the conclusion. Practice more such questions and try to recognize assumptions which will help you in building your logic for the arguments. Always remember that some choices will be tempting to choose as they can be true in real world scenario but remember that you don’t have to go anywhere outside of what is provided in the paragraph and try never to add you own knowledge to it. Thanks
