Just 20,000 international ? Though not a convincing criteria , I can see a “United state of Canada” in the near future lol
Pretty interesting. I just checked and here are the criteria that they used in their survey of 20,000 international students
"The rankings are based on these 7 factors:
To experience a new culture
To achieve career goals
To have an adventure
To make new friends/widen professional network
To access higher quality teaching
To study for free
To attain a visa"
I've been helping students make their choice on where to study for awhile now (over a decade), and here are a couple of my thoughts:
1) I've never had a student go to Canada and regret it
2) Most students make more money in Germany after their studies than they do in most other European countries
3) Visas are tough to get in the US but if you get one, you can make a lot of money (and make sure to get good insurance because hospital bills add up real fast)
4) Australia is far from the US and Europe, but if you don't mind that, the economy is good down there
5) China is fun for awhile but most expats get tired of it after a couple years since it's hard to integrate
6) The UK is ranked lower due to all of the problems that are coming with Brexit I'd imagine. I've had a couple students tell me it was tough to find a job after their MBA so they had to go back to their home country.
