hi,
darden has an event in mumbai in a couple of weeks. Just wish to know if it will help in the application process if i attend the event. I Stay far away from mumbai. Don't wish to unnecessarily waste my time.

Ofcourse you should attend the event if time permits. You can learn a lot of things about schools by attending their admission events. From these events you can also glean a lot of information that may or may not be available online and potentially develop some additional essay material for the "why X school" question. Sometimes current students/alumni also present in such events, so it provides an excellent opportunity to make new connections.
Last but not least, attending school's info event demonstrates your interest to the school. Schools are concerned with their yield (whether you will attend the school if admitted) and taking the time to attend and event makes you appear to be a safer bet.
