You can check new OG or GMAT Prep Focus mocks. None of them have pure algebraic questions. Not one. Check new GMAT Prep Focus questions from mocks: search.php?s ... ag_id=1548

Note that pure algebraic questions like the above are no longer included in the syllabus of the new GMAT Focus exam format. You don’t need to practice such questions for the GMAT. You won’t get those on the actual exam.

Is it the same for number system data sufficiency also ?

Questions on integer property, units digits , even and odd in ds ?

DS questions in GMAT Focus encompass various types of word problems, such as:
  • Word Problems
  • Work Problems
  • Distance Problems
  • Mixture Problems
  • Percent and Interest Problems
  • Overlapping Sets Problems
  • Statistics Problems
  • Combination and Probability Problems

While these questions may involve or necessitate knowledge of algebra, arithmetic, inequalities, etc., they will always be presented in the form of word problems. You won't encounter pure "algebra" questions like, "Is x > y?" or "A positive integer n has two prime factors..."

Re: Data Insights Question of the Day [#permalink]
option D

first take LCM of fractions which is 20, then convert denominator into 20, by multiplying accordingly with numerator

55% of 20 is 11

Statement 1 - tells us 8 items are being produced in first factory, so 3 more units will make it 11 , so X1 is produced in factory 1

statement 2 - tell us 9 unites are being produced in second factory, so second factory can’t produce any other units except X3 and X4, so first factory produces X1

option - D

Hey im a bit confused because doesn’t the stem say that >55% produced in SECOND factory so S1 tells us that X1 produced in second factory because if it was produced in first it would become 11/20 which would make Factory 2 less than 55%? Just trying to understand the justification provided because I interpreted the stem as the opposite of the explanation you gave here it seems haha

I agree , it says >55% of total units (20) > 11 was produced in second factory so, if first factory is already producing 8 items , it cannot produce X1(3) as it would make it 11(55%) .
In the second statement, 9 items are already produced in 2nd factory so inorder to make it >55 % either X1,X2 or X6 can be produced in 2nd factory, not sufficient.
Only statement 1 is sufficient to answer whether X1 is produced in 1st factory or not, so the answer should be A
