How in Q2, option B can be marked as yes if Brian has not shown the ability to work long hours ? can we miss 1 condition in this ?

also in Q1, option A, can we assume John has not started work as ’fresh candidate’ and could have experience of 1 yr as Analyst from other bank ? I assumed this and answer ’yes’, is my thinking corect ?

Kindly can anyone explain ?

Thanks

(i) GCD is 5…X and Y could be anything above 5 under the given restrictions. (10,15); (10,75)
(ii) LCM is 50…X and Y could be (10,50); (25,50)

Combined
LCM*GCD = X*Y
5*50=250=X*Y
250=1*250=2*125=5*50=10*25
Only 10*25 fits in. X=10 and Y=25
Sufficient

Which part of the conclusion does the 2nd statement help explain?

I was thinking it could be that he preferred room 2 but then room 3 is equally good and it’s earlier this week so doesn’t make sense that he would pick room 2 based on statement 2

There could be some other reason for not preferring 3 over 2, so we should not mull over it. It could be that he wants occupancy of 20 only with VC available, so restrict yourself to what is asked. Room 2 does not have VC, and he is ready to take the room. Thus option II supports the case for room 2.
