a. Line L1 does not intersect the x axis
b. the point q(2,1) lies on line L1

IMO C

from statement 1

Line is parallel to x axis

but it may cut and may not cut the graph of given equation

from statement 2

point lies on the line but it alone can not prove anything

combine together ,

please draw the graph of parabola x^2=y-3 and then a line, parallel to x axis and passing through point 2,1

we see that there will be 0 intersection points

GMAT is tough,so I am
