It really depends on the school. I think Harvard says that 5 times is not viewed favorably, while booth says it doesn't matter. Then you have some admission consultants such as sandy kreisburg saying it doesn't matter either. I think ultimately you have to weigh taking it five times vs the low ir score. Which looks worse? Personally, if I were you, the low IR score would look worse to me than taking it five times.

Hi mjunejaey,

Many Business Schools have publicly stated that they do NOT use the IR score when evaluating an applicant, so the 'short' answer to your question is that the IR score doesn't matter and that you do NOT need to retest. If you'd like to know how an individual School or Program interprets the IR score, then you should ask them - directly.
