I gave my second shot at GMAT in Sept’20 and scored a 750 (Q50 V41).
However, I scored only 3 in IR.

Is it worth considering another shot at GMAT? How many good schools will I miss out on because of IR?

All opinions would mean a lot :)

Thanks!
Hi knight2209,

That's an amazing score!

I don't think you need to worry about IR. Take the exam again if you want to, but there is no real need to retake the GMAT.

So... you took the test in September and you’re only asking in March? Has something changed?

It’s not like people take a test and then six months later decide to ask if it’s a good score. Were you planning to retake it? Or were you planning to use it and some thing changed your mind?

Hi knight2209,

750 is a fantastic score! I'd tell you to retake only if you feel you could replicate the 750 while scoring a bit higher on IR. However, when considering a retake, since you took your last GMAT in September, my concern is how fresh you are with the GMAT. Is it safe to assume that you have not touched the GMAT since September?

Thanks for the responses all, and apologies for the delayed response - got mixed with the other notifications :/

Karthik740 - tbh, it's really motivating to hear that from a fellow test-taker, thanks a ton mate :)

EMPOWERgmatRichC - thanks for that input sir/ma'am, comes as a relief. I kind of got worried after hearing that INSEAD recommends an IR score of 5 (which they do I believe?). Will go through the forum though - I'm inclined towards Said, Judge and NUS. Hopefully I'll get some info from there :)

AjiteshArun - truly humbled by that Ajitesh :)

bb - I was hoping to use that score until I heard that INSEAD recommends an IR of 5. But as EMPOWERgmatRichC has suggested, I'll be reaching to a few folks to get a clearer picture regarding Said, Judge and NUS. Do you have anyone in mind - would be really grateful :)

ScottTargetTestPrep - on point! Haven't opened the books lately. Will plan on the next-steps based on what I hear from some alums/ad-coms from a couple of schools.

It might be work checking out the sub-forums for the schools you mentioned.
