My first interview took place online via Teams.
I emailed the alumni & took him a few days to answer, but when he did he was really dedicated & flexible with the availability, he cared to fix my time, even worrying about hour time difference so it would not be too early or late for me.
He rescheduled the day before to 30' earlier in the timeframe I had provided because he got another meeting just after it, but being in Consulting I believe he was extremely flexible with me.
He is an alumnus from 8 years ago who went into Tier 1 management consulting after the MBA (same goal), he said at the beginning of the interview that he had been some years without giving interviews so we agreed on the structure (the standard one).
I did not get the typical questions asked directly but was more a conversational interview where he asked those questions within the context of the talk, I think he is really good at interviewing and was able to make the interview a pleasant time.
He said he had read three times my essays and was quite interested in them, that had enjoyed reading them and was high level, indeed he asked specific questions about what I mentioned in my essays and challenged me a lot on the main points (why an MBA now if you have a dream job; MBB is hard to get, location wise might be impossible to get a visa, what how will you react, etc, attacked my weakness to undermine my success opportunities; challenged my essay's achievement & asked for a true big failure, etc
There were a lot of discussions, we ended up over-extending for 20' (so 80' total), but it was quite fun and relaxed, despite all the challenges, the conversation was always animated and interesting.
I had also time to ask him questions about his time at INSEAD, his work, etc

The interview was super conversational and had a casual tone. Below I have listed the questions I was asked. There were some follow up questions to the behavioral questions as well.
None of the questions were surprising based on others' feedback from this forum. Interestingly, I spent a long time preparing my data visualization response, but I can't remember if we even spoke about it. We finished up the interview portion after about 18 minutes and she gave me the rest of the time to ask questions. She gave pretty detailed responses so we had time for 3 in total.
While I was asking questions, the adcom was super informative and engaged. She mentioned that the industry I have experience in + am hoping to pursue during and post MBA is an area of focus for the school that will hopefully increase in relevance. Really hoping that did not give me too much false hope...
1) any updates to your application?
tell me about...
2) an accomplishment you're most proud of
3) your biggest failure
4) a time when you had to come up with a novel solution to a problem
5) a time when you had a difficult coworker
6) how your boss describe you
7) why MBA?
8) why now?
9) why Sloan?
10) what will you contribute to Sloan?
11) what will you be engaged in at Sloan?

Interviewer: Aaron
Duration: 45 mins
Mode: Zoom call
Questions: (not in sequence)
1. Why MBA?
2. Why Now?
3. Why Sauder?
4. Biggest challenge you expect to face during MBA?
5. 3 Qualities your colleagues will use to describe you? Which one would you agree and disagree with?
6. How can you enrich the class?
7. What kind of alum will you be?
8. Short term & long term goal and link your career with it.
9. What is the one question you would want me to ask you?
10. Community involvement?
Experience:
It was more like a casual conversation. We cracked some jokes too.
Suggestions:
- Be yourself
- Research on the school well (Make him believe that you came on planet earth for Sauder.)
- Know what you are saying. Feel it. Copied statements and superficial language wont help.
- Though the questions are common, I found this interview way more challenging than the interview of some MUCH better ranked schools.
My impression about school:
It gave me an impression that Sauder is really serious about who should be in its class and I believe that it is a great thing. Your essays, video response, recommendations and work-ex, will come together here. Make sure that a logical connection is visible in all of them. Work really hard with your recommenders. I have a relatively low GMAT score. I could identify 3 moments when the interviewer tried to figure out about my quant skills in other ways. Although the question was not asked specifically but by end of the interview he knew the extent of quant exposure in my current work profile. So unlike some of the reputed B-schools, they value your individuality. Makes me more confident about my choice.
Hope this helps.
Wishing Goodluck to all the applicants.

Interviewed this morning.
Largely the same questions as folks have listed here.
Based on the feedback here, I tried to be as detailed as possible, but ended up being asked to speak more generally, which was surprising to me.
So, I suppose maybe a balance between the two to allow the interviewer to actually ask the more probing questions than trying to anticipate and provide that level of detail upfront.
Also generally ran out of time, possibly partially because of my over-enthusiasm to try and offer as much detail as possible.
Given that, I'd consider this an average / below-average performance, and enough to induce anxiety over the next two weeks as I await decision.

Not many EMBA debriefs here so doing my part. Interview was with AdCom member conducted over zoom. Overall it was a very good and welcoming vibe. More of a conversation than interview. After the pleasantries the interviewer explained how the interview is going to flow. They did mention that they only had access to my resume and not the entire application and that they had already gone through the resume so there is no need to walk them through that again. Total time was 45 mins.
1. Tell me a story from either your childhood, young adult days or from recent time that had an impact on you.(some follow up questions on this)
2. Why did you not change your job for almost 9 years.
3. Pick just one bullet point from your resume and talk about it, what was it, why was it important, your role in it etc.
4. Short Term, mid term, long term goals.
5. Imagine yourself in the cohort and tell me where would you be the point person and a leader in your study group.(some comments, again more of a conversation around the answer).
6. If you met a coworker after 5 years today what is the one new development in yourself that you would tell them.
7. Anything we did not touch upon or any questions for me.
These were all presented as questions but turned out to be more of a conversation starters. I came out of the interview knowing more about the program. Overall was very satisfied with the interaction.

4) How do you define success?
5) Why MBA from UC Davis?
6) Tell me about a time you worked on a project where you had limited information and how you dealt with it?
7) Do you have any questions for me?

I don’t see a lot of recent debriefs so thought I will add a fresh one for future interviewees' benefit. I had my interview just a few days before the deadline for interviewers to submit their feedback. Which was both good and bad; good because lots of time to prepare, bad because more time to be nervous about it. My advice – don’t be nervous because in my view LBS interview is something you can’t fully prepare for.
First, some information for people who don’t know about the interview process – Once you get an invitation to interview, a regional manager matches you up with an LBS alum. The process can take up to two weeks so be patient and use this time to prepare. Once you are matched, you reach out to the interviewer and set up a date. You have approximately 2-3 weeks to complete the interview before LBS's deadline for feedback from the interviewer. So, everything considered, you have almost 1 month to finish the interview after you get the invite.
You also have to complete two video questions and you will get about three weeks after the invite to complete those. I suggest completing it as soon as possible to have more time to prepare for the interview. Again, one of the video questions is something that you can’t prepare for. Don’t wing it but don’t overprepare either.
Now, for my interview experience – It went on for two hours and was full of random questions. I have a relatively unique professional background and her pre-MBA career was similar, if not as niche.
Her curiosity regarding my career drove many (40%) of the questions and how, depending on my background, I will fit into the LBS environment. Almost 40% of the questions involved the interviewer sharing her own experience at LBS and with her post-MBA career, and then asking me questions about what I would do in those situations.
There were no straightforward “why LBS?” or “why MBA?” questions but the extent to which I answered other indirect questions would have answered those anyway. I would recommend knowing what you wish to do at LBS (including GBE, Exchange, courses, clubs, etc.) at least one layer deep with solid reasons for why/why not?
The interview also had a presentation/case, something I was concerned about because of no prior consulting experience and the general notion that you can’t prepare for it. The question in my view was straightforward. It was only a test of common business sense and verbal communication skills. I tried familiarizing myself with cases from LBS’s casebook and it was a nice warm-up.
Overall, the interview was not meant to be a “trick” setup and was pretty chatty. My interviewer had a straight, almost disinterested face with occasional nods so I don’t know whether she was impressed or I am doomed as unworthy for the mighty LBS. Hoping for a good outcome.
If anyone had any specific questions/concerns, feel free to comment.

My R2 interview was with Lynda Vanderburgh. The interview was about 20 minutes including a few minutes for my questions. She was friendly and taking notes throughout. Overall, it was very conversational. What helped put me at ease during the interview was that she spoke about her own personal experience in regards to what I answered.
1. Walk me through your resume
2. Why Rotman?
3. What other schools have you applied to?
4. What is your biggest professional achievement?
5. What is your biggest professional failure?
6. What have you done to foster diversity?
7. A situation where you were confident? It could be either in a professional or personal setting.
8. Before getting to where you are now, what did you actually see yourself doing? (not a standard question - out of her own curiosity which I took as a good sign)
9. A learning that was life changing for you?
10. Any questions for me?

I was interviewed by an AdCom. It was so smooth and conversational.
Considering that the interviewer doesn’t have your resume at the time of the interview, the first question was "tell me about yourself" instead of "walk me through your resume", and we went on from there with regular questions (why MBA, career goals, why Darden, how you will collaborate etc).
It took around 40 minutes and had a Q&A time for me at the end.
IMPORTANT: don’t forget to have your passport at the time of the interview - I interviewed with other schools, but Darden was the only who asked to see my ID at the start of the call.

Had a lovely conversational interview with a 2nd year student, a majority of the questions were pretty general:
1. Why MBA?
2. Why Anderson / what clubs interest you?
3. Short term & long term goals?
4. Experiences or projects that you had the opportunity to showcase any technical or analytical skills?
5. Biggest challenge at work?
There were also some follow ups that were asked based on some of my responses and time at the end for questions. If you log in a bit early, maybe 15 mins, you might be able to see the name of your interviewer to do a quick LinkedIn search just to understand their background. I was able to do so prior to our interview while I was in the Zoom waiting room.
Good luck!
