Since I belong to defence forces, most of my questions were centered around the experiences and challenges in my military life that I had mentioned in my essays. Also, there were expected qns such as:
->Why MBA/ISB?
-> Any alternate strategy if not selected at ISB?
-> Why a switch from defence to corporate ?
Overall the interview environment was very conductive and smooth. It was more of the nature of a constructive discussion with the industry seniors.

common questions like why mba, why owen, st and lt goals
and TMAT questions, a time you failed, a time when you led a project, a time demonstrating your team work and leadership, a time when you completed a client project while your manager was on leave, a time when you succeeded as a leader

This was a Pre-recorded interview done on Kira.
By the time I got my interview invite there were no more slots available so the pre-recorded interview on Kira was the only option.
I can't say I wasn't disappointed because they always say it is better to do an interview with a student or alumni but it actually turn out to be a blessing. Yes, answering the questions within 3 minutes require practice but you have 45 seconds to think through your answer. It also helps that you don't immediately have to jump to answer the next question.
Just as I've seen reported by previous interview reports, there were 3 fixed questions and 2 are random behavioural questions so I made sure I had the 3 fixed questions prepped well and practiced a few key stories for the behavioural questions.
Questions asked:
- What do you hope to accomplish out of your business school experience and why is Haas the right place for this? (FIXED)
- Describe an experience in DE&I, whether in the workplace or at a community organization, that will enhance your contribution to the Haas community. (FIXED)
- Tell me about a time you had to work on a complicated project and morale was low.
- Tell me about a time you championed a creative initiative in the workplace. What was thought process and attitude?
- Is there anything else you would like to add that hasn’t been covered already? (FIXED)

Hi, I've had my interview with a Science professor. The questions I received were pretty usual, accept for one where I got asked to calculate some simple statistics which is probably because of my non-traditional background. I didn't get the "tell me about yourself" part though.
1. Why you plan to make this transition at this stage?
2. Why Judge?
3. How can you contribute to the program?
4. My long-term goal is pretty challenging (I want to have my own company), how do I plan to achieve this?
5. How can I exhibit my leadership qualities and collaboration to the classroom? (I answered based on my strengths and past experiences in this industry)
6. Have you talked to the alumni?
7. I'd like to ask you one statistics question, will you be willing to try solving?
And he asked me if I had questions for him, so I asked him about 3 questions about the student life/academic at CJBS (I actually already got the perspectives from the current students there, but I just want the professor' POV).
I interviewed on Friday and received good news on the next working day (Monday). Overall, it's more like conversational. I did prepare many answers but didn't use them. Just really be myself and present at the moment. I want to say that I am very happy with the interview process here at Judge - the fact that we can interact with the professors because they also share back their POVs which I considered as already part of my learning phase.
Good luck everyone!

My interview was with a second year student that had similar career track as the one I stated in my essays- below are the questions/interview:
1. Tell me about yourself
2. How do you want to contribute to the community/how do you want to shape your experience at CBS
3. Why MBA now?
4. Long term and short term goals
5. Why Columbia as opposed to other schools?
Last 10-15 minutes was for questions and then we talked about some mutual connections we had
Total time was around 45 minutes. Interviewer was friendly and easy to talk to; the interview had a conversation vibe to it, which aligns with Columbia's interviews historically.
Tips: Know your story, your goals, why you want to do an MBA, why CBS specifically (Anecdotally I hear CBS really cares about how you answer this), have good questions to ask at the end. Be prepared, but also go in with the expectation that they want to know you as a person and it will likely be more conversational to feel out your vibe.
