I interviewed with a second year student and it went on for about 50 mins.
She introduced herself and we directly dived into the following questions:
1) Tell me something about yourself and walk me through your resume
2) Why MBA
3) Why MBA after consulting
4) Why Kelley
5) Stressful situation faced in a workplace
6) If you have different Tasks of equal priority how will you approach them and why
7) what do you like and dislike about working in a team
Follow up to the above - what would you change about working in a team
8) Any questions for me
The overall experience was good. Towards the end it got more interactive and it felt like a very casual conversation, similar to the one's I've had with other 2nd year students.
Good luck!! Hope this helps!!! :)

Hi Guys,
Got done with my interview today. It was with alum, Class of 2020 (Veteran). Total 60 minutes of interview (35 mins of interview questions) Interview experience is as follows:
My interviewer was really welcoming and set up the expectations straight up. Introduced himself, told me he will start by asking me to introduce myself, ask some more questions, then will ask some behavioral questions that he has here with him and will open up the forum for me to ask anything about Ross, his experience etc. as it needs to be a 2 way street and I need to be fairly convinced with the school I am interviewing for. Questions were as follows:
1) Tell me about yourself (followed by a casual chat about a common hobby that we both had)
2) Why MBA (again a follow up chat on something I forgot now, spoke here about my goals too, both ST and LT)
3) Why Ross (he paused my answer to discuss his MAP project and then we continued from there)
4) TMAT when you started something new or unknown
5) TMAT when you motivated a colleague you are on same level with
6) TMAT you failed
7) TMAT you ensured inclusivity in your team (there were two more stems to this question so it was a slightly longer answer from my end)
Not sure if he had only 4 behavioral questions planned or ran out of time. Next 25 mins we discussed 4-5 questions I had for him.

The interview was with a second-year student. I got his information over the email three hours before my scheduled time. Before joining Vanderbilt, he was in the domain that I am targetting myself to get into after my MBA. I think that's how the school allocates interviewers.
The interview was 30-minute long and was very friendly. He took the first 30 seconds to introduce himself then started asking questions that were mostly on the following lines:
1. Walk me through your resume.
2. Why MBA?
3. Why Owen?
4. What do you do in your free time?
5. How would you contribute to the community on-campus?
6. Taking one point from my resume, he asked how did I solve the challenges on this particular project?
7. How would your supervisor describe you?

My Interview was scheduled with 2nd year student and it lasted 45 minutes with his introduction and before he jumped into question we discussed about Diwali and Halloween. He didn't ask too many behavioural questions to me as I have seen in others debrief because we ended up discussing something else. My Interview was so smooth and conversational, I totally enjoyed it. So far the question he asked that I remember is
1. I have gone through your resume last night. Could you please walk me through it.
2. If your startup is doing very well then why do you want to do an MBA at this point?
3. Short term and long term goal and if my startup will fail what other options I'll have ?
4. How will you describe leadership? Any example of how you have led a group through an uncertain time?
5. How and why you choose McCombs? why Not others business schools?
6. 2-3 questions related to my travelling as I'm a travel blogger like what was your favourite country so far and why it is special for you? Which places you'll suggest me to visit in Asia etc.
7. What leadership roles will you take at McCombs? How do you see yourself getting involved on campus?
8. Strongest & Weakest part of the application
9. What did you learn about yourself during the application process
10. What do you do in free time( ques frame was totally different)
11 I'm sure you have lots of story to tell so anything else you want to share with me that can be valuable for your candidacy.
12. At this point I have got all the important information about you that I can provide to Adcoms. Any question you have for me ?

Interview structure: 2 alums and 1 adcom on mute
Questions:
1. You want a client facing role but your goals do not reflect that. Why?
2. Why MBA is needed to start a career in finance? Get a CFA
3. What are the challenges in a project(At work)?
4. What do you think about cryptos and equities(my hobbies)?
5. If you get into ISB, how will your batchmates remember you 3 years down the line?
6. Do you like to work individually or as a team?
7. Have you achieved all your goals on your own?
Grilled a lot on why you need to do MBA for achieving your goals. A lot of work related questions. Overall it was a friendly interview. Loved the conversation.
Strategy4GMAT helped me prepare for the interview; had 2 mocks with Manan and Gaurav and they helped me attain clarity as well as structure the answers better.
Good luck folks!!

Interview lasted 41 minutes with an alum. He was very calm.
Started by asking about my most recent work experience (talked about my career transitions here and how they relate to my MBA plans).
Why MBA, Why Ross.
Tell me about a time you helped someone feel included.
Tell me about a time you convinced someone to your point of view.
Questioning lasted about 30 minutes and I asked questions for about 11 minutes (asked about how he manged his time at Ross and the type and extent of career support available to alum).

Just completed my interview with recent Alum. It lasted ~50 minutes in total with ~35 minutes of formal interview and ~10-15 minutes for my questions at the end. Very conversational and friendly. She had a set of questions prepared, mostly behavioral.
- Tell me about yourself and Why MBA (covered LT goals in brief during this)
- discussion naturally flowed to how Ross fits into my "Why MBA?" plan
Behavioral questions
- About a time when project scope changed suddenly?
- About a time when I stopped a manager from going down a wrong path?
- About a time when I had a unpopular opinion?
- About a time when I worked with diverse group of people (flowed from a project I mentioned in my introduction)? How did I manage it and what did I learn?
After this spend 10-15 minutes talking for my questions mostly around MAP experience, questions about Sanger Leadership Center and life in Ann Arbor in general
Hope this helps!

Details: 2 alums + 1 adcom member. The interview lasted for about 30 min.
Questions were mostly around my resume and work experience. They asked me a few basic questions, such as Why MBA, Why ISB, and how I will contribute to ISB. They tried to understand more on my essays and asked more about every point I mentioned in my resume. Overall the interview was conversational.
For interview prep, I took help from Preppie, and they helped me frame my thoughts and answers better. I would recommend them for preparation.

Interviewed with an alumnus via Zoom, and wanted to share what was quite a unique experience. It was very conversational, the interviewer was very easy going, and just an all-round nice person to talk to. Even if he was from a completely different location, we shared a management consulting background and some personal interests that really kept the conversation flowing.
I also want to add that this was very much similar to a HBS/MIT type of interview style, in that rather than asking behavioural questions, my interviewer asked why I made the decisions I made, which was a distinct tone shift from all the other interview experiences here. So the questions asked were particular to me:
1. Tell me a bit about yourself - the usual 3-4 minute intro, going through my resume
(-) Not a question but we chatted about a shared interest in Formula 1 for a few minutes
2. Why did I choose to study where I did, what was I looking for, and did I get it?
3. What do I think binds my decisions and choices made in my career (I mentioned I was very deliberate with my decisions in the intro)
4. How do I lead without authority
5. (Follow up to the previous question) How do you get people on your side?
6. What was your biggest shortcoming, and most importantly what did you learn from it (the interview prefaced this question a lot, saying that the learnings are what mattered most. Also, the interviewer resonated with my answer a lot, as they also had a similar experience in their consulting career)
Can't quite remember the rest, but the interview lasted a full hour with my own questions. What was conspicuously missing were the traditional 'why an MBA', 'why now', 'why Ross', 'what are your goals' which took me by surprise a bit.
Nevertheless, this was my favourite interview by far of those I've done and gives me a lot to think about. Hope this helps!

I had my interview yesterday with an alum from the class of 2013. It was a good interaction and lasted for about 40 minutes, give or take a minute.
The interviewer began with a brief introduction about himself before diving right into the questions he had for me.The sequence was as follows.
1. Tell me about your journey so far, and why you think an MBA fits into the picture.
2. A follow-up question about my previous work experience. It was along the lines of, how did you do what you said you did?
3. What are my short-term and long-term goals?
4. Why Ross and how would you contribute to Ross?
5. How did I motivate a team?
6. What was your biggest failure?
This took exactly 35 minutes and then I asked the question I prepared for him for about 5 minutes.
I hope this helps. All the best to everyone for their interview.

2 alums + 1 Shadow adcom member
Time: Mid-afternoon
Questions revolved around work experience. Several general questions, such as Why MBA, and We do not have internships like other business schools, how will you learn in that area.
I sought assistance from Preppie, and the session with them was extremely beneficial in terms of gaining clarity and consolidating my thoughts. Highly recommended!
The interview lasted for around 25-30 minutes.

Just finished my interview. Alums from CO 2009 and CO 2012, both directors, one in a pharma company and the other in an FMCG.
It was a very behavioral interview. I had only 4 questions asked.
1. Tell us about yourself (akin to walk me through your resume/who you are as a person. I always felt this was the best approach)
2. What do you think about the way the history textbooks are being altered and the way pseudo science is creeping into textbooks and how that is going to affect the next generation? (I am from an education background working on people development and empathy programs).
3. I see you want to get into edtech product management. You can do that now too with your experience in consulting and education. Why MBA? It would have made more sense if you wanted to continue your entrepreneurial journey (subtle reference to my LT goal).
4. What is your leadership style? Provide examples from your consulting role and your startup.
I felt very odd because it progressed very quickly and I was asked at one point to get to the point and subtly told to be concise. The interview lasted 30 to 35 minutes max. More than a deep dive, it was more how I would sell myself. The initiative was on me to drive the interview and I think that made me very comfortable and helped me express myself despite the odd feeling of the super few questions. The interviewers were extremely polite and soft spoken and genuinely wanted to know who I was as a person.
I am still not sure how I should feel but it was something of a new experience for me with it being entirely a behavioral interview, akin to schools in the US.
Hope this helps. All the best guys!
