I scheduled my early interview and appeared for the same on 7th Sept 2021. It was a zoom meeting and conducted by Susan Mellage from Adcom. Susan has a comforting smile and even though it was my first interview, I didn't feel nervous. The interview lasted for exactly 30 minutes. And it was a very general conversational interview. The objective is only to know the candidate more and not to grill them.
1. Tell me about yourself.
2. Tell me an instance in which you were in crisis at work. What did you do? What did you learn?
3. Why do you want to gain out of an MBA program? (ST/LT goals)
4. Why Emory?
5. Any instances of leadership you showed at work.
6. One most constructive piece of advice received from someone.
Then I was asked if I have any questions, I had quite a few, and she answered them in detail. All in all, it was a very chilled and relaxed interview. My advice to everyone is be yourself. And have authentic stories to tell. Best of luck!!

The interview started on time with a brief introduction about myself.
Questions on my work experience. Then followed with my success stories and learnings. Was also asked about my failures and what I learned from them. A couple of other behavioral questions followed by a couple of questions on my interests. Overall a typical MBA admissions interview.

3. Any professional achievement I am proud of?
4. Why MBA? Short-term career goal?
5. Why now?
6. In which three words would my colleagues describe me?
7. Any consistent and constructive piece of feedback I have received from my managers?
I asked one question at last.

Timeline:
Applied - 08/06
Interview invite - 08/27
Interviewed - 08/30
Feedback submitted - Within 30 mins
Admitted - 09/01
This thread helped me a lot in the past few days so thought I would share my experience.
Got the email inviting to interview from Columbia and they had already set me up with an interviewer: an Alum in about his 50s from the PE and corporate restructuring industry.
The interview was over zoom. We briefly said hi in portuguese and my interviewer quickly switched to English.
He explained to me how the conversation was to be broken down: Part 1: questions for me; Part 2: questions for him; Part 3: Other business related topics if there is time.
Part 1 lasted 15 minutes:
1) Tell me about yourself
2) Why CBS?
3) What other schools have you applied to (to which I answered "Only CBS" which he called suicidal).
4) Tell me about the VC industry in Brazil
5) How active is your firm in managing portfolio companies?
He then announced the end of this section and asked if I had any questions. I felt slightly worried because there were still 45 mins left in the allotted time but I realized that the interviewer enjoyed talking about himself, so I started shooting questions about his career, MBA experience, working alongside x, y and z (notable businessmen in Brazil).
He mentioned several times during the interview that the process was very tough and that I should not take it personally if I get rejected. I tried to show him that I was confident without sounding cocky. I think it worked.
One tip I would give, especially with older alumni, is ask them for tips and advice on what courses to take and where demand is concentrated in the business labour market. I think more experienced guys love to be asked questions about their opinion on things kind of like in a mentorship capacity.
At the end of the 1h, he said that he would recommend me and that he thinks the school would be smart to let me in, but reiterated that it was a competitive process and that I should not feel too sad if I don't get in.
30 mins later I received a notification that he submitted his review and just 2 days later got the email from admissions.
For anyone applying to CBS, I would HIGHLY recommend submitting as early as possible, due to the rolling admissions.
Happy to answer any questions.

Both interviews were very conversational.
The first interview with the COO of a FinTech Startup. The first interview was more unstructured - the standard questions (Why MBA, Why INSEAD, Why MBA now, etc) were indirectly asked through our conversation. Overall, the interview took 45mins and I felt pretty good - a little nervous.
The questions asked were:
1. Tell me about yourself: walk me through your career and why you made certain decisions
2. Why MBA?
3. Why GRE and not GMAT?
4. Why are you choosing INSEAD?
5. Did you apply to any other schools?
6. How are you going to fund your MBA?
7. Are you returning to your current company post-INSEAD/MBA?
The second interviewer works in a tech company with previous experience in Management Consulting. The interview was more structured (I am guessing they are the direct questions from the form they fill out) and took 1hr 30mins in total as well. I was asked a lot of situational questions. Ex, put yourself in this situation, how would you deal with it. It was more or less like a stress test.
The questions I can recall were:
1. Why an MBA
2. Why INSEAD
3. What are your goals with an MBA from INSEAD
4. Tell me a time when you had to deal with a difficult situation and other situational questions.
5. Tell me a time where you had to work with people from different backgrounds
6. Did you apply for any other programs

1. Walk me through your resume (follow up questions like what do you do at your current company? Could you elaborate more about one of the achievement that saved cost on your resume?)
2. Why MBA?
3. Why CBS?
4. Share a leadership experience? What’s your leadership style?
5. How do you contribute to your study group?
6. How do you contribute to CBS?
7. Why now?
8. You mentioned that you applied J-term, why J-term?
9. What’s your backup plan if you could not find job after graduation?
10. Any questions?

Hello Everyone,
I really appreciate others putting their interview experiences together. I had my interview with an admission committee member and one from career service. They asked me the following questions:
1. Walk me through your resume
2. ST Goals
3. Why NUS?
4. How you plan to network (I am making a career transition from consulting to sustainability)
5. What if your plan fails?
6. How will NUS provide the support?
They asked me questions for 20 minutes. Then, I asked them the following questions:
1. Can I take courses from other schools?
2. I also asked a question about Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM)
Good luck to everyone!

Hi all ,
Interviewed with Prateek Malhotra, he first made me comfortable asking about my family and the Covid situation and then he started by telling me about his details and journey and then asked me about myself. He made me really comfortable. The interview went about for 80 mins; the scheduled time was 60 mins.
The interview was very conversational.
- He asked me about myself and then asked me the why MBA question.
- He then followed it up with why Ivey question and then asked me, in addition to education, what really, I was looking to get out of from the MBA experience.
After this he told me that the Behavioural questions would start :
- The time when I did something Innovative, what was the Impact? He asked a follow up question to that to clarify a detail.
- Then he asked me about a conflict situation and my learnings out of it , what I learnt from that?
- He asked me about a time when something did not go as per plan, or you had a major roadblock in our project, asked a follow-up about my learnings.
- Tell me a time when I was given feedback, what did I do and how I handled it?
That was it, it was very conversational, I had a great time.
Then I got the opportunity to ask him questions and that lasted about 20 mins. Overall a very pleasant experience.

"I was interviewed by Sharlene Bell.
Very easygoing and conversational interview. She specifically mentioned that it was meant to be informal.
The questions were:
- Why MBA?
- Why now?
- Give me an example of dealing with conflict in a group
- Have you handled Diversity?
- Challenges for your RSM MBA
- Will you join with family , have you thought about the challenges?
- You have applied to other colleges - Why and Why RSM stands out?
That's i!! pretty straightforward questions.
I hope this helps.
Goodluck

Both interviews were conversational, and interestingly both were with people outside of my industry.
Interview 1:
a) The usual introduction/walk me through your life/resumé
b) Why MBA/Why INSEAD/why now? What is it specifically about INSEAD that attracts you (NOT the usual international/ diversity, 1 year time-frame, etc)?
c) A few situational questions such as:
- tell me about a group failure
- tell me about a time when things did not work out the way you wanted to
-a time where you actually convinced someone, what was the result?
d) A few thinking on the feet questions like:
- what if goal industry does not work out? What is your ideal job if not consulting, finance, tech/ typical post-MBA jobs?
-What are you most looking forward to in school (outside of the usual extracurriculars, course work, networking)?
Interview 2:
a) The usual introduction/walk me through your life/resumé
b) Why MBA/Why INSEAD/Why now?
c) Strengths/Weaknesses
d) Rehash of my application in some manner with respect to achievements and failures
Both took roughly 1 hour (45-50 minutes with 10-15 minutes of informal chat and me asking questions).

The first interview was with a senior executive from a mining company. He focused on a few standard questions at the beginning (i.e. Why MBA, why INSEAD, why now, etc.) and then he wanted me to go a bit deeper into my failure story in my application. Overall the conversation was very casual and very much focused on self-awareness perspectives instead of achievements or career goals.
My second interview was with someone in the retail space. She graduated from INSEAD almost 10 years ago and she is now the CEO of her family business. My interviewer seems to be in a rush so that she asked all the standard questions and ended the interview 20 mins earlier. I was a bit worried that it's a bad sign but it turns out I still got in. So you have encountered a similar situation - Don't worry. It doesn't mean you did poorly.

Both interviews were very conversational.
The first interview was at a meeting room in the alumni's workspace. He is a Co-CEO of a health start-up. The first interview was more unstructured - the standard questions (Why MBA, Why INSEAD, Why MBA now etc) were indirectly asked through our conversation. I took the opportunity of the conversation and constantly 'interviewed' him back to understand more about his situation as he had an interesting background/experience. Overall, the interview took 45mins and I felt pretty good - a little nervous.
The questions asked were:
1. Tell me about yourself: where did you grow up, how was schooling and where do you work now?
2. Follow up question around what my current company does and the work I do day-to-day.
3. How was the GMAT? Did you study a lot? How was the application progress? Did you hire someone?
4. Why are you choosing INSEAD?
5. Did you apply to any other schools?
6. How are you going to fund your MBA?
7. Are you returning to your current company post-INSEAD/MBA?
8. Tell me about your passions for basketball and cooking (In response to my application answers)
Second interviewer works in a tech company with previous experience in Management Consulting. Interview was at a local cafe over coffee. The interview was more structured (I am guessing they are the direct questions from the form they fill out) and took 45mins in total as well. Once again, I 'interviewed' her back to understand her situation and keep it more conversational.
The questions I can recall were:
1. Why an MBA
2. Why INSEAD
3. What are your goals with an MBA from INSEAD
4. Tell me a time when you had to deal with a difficult situation
5. Tell me a time where you had to work with people from different backgrounds
6. Did you apply for any other programs
Overall, I enjoyed both the interviews I had. It was a nice catchup and I got to understand their perspectives and journeys. Fingers crossed as I continue to wait.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions - especially Aussies or Kiwis. Hopefully, this helps people.

I had my interview with Vijender. It was a friendly conversation.
1. Why MBA? Why Now?
2. Why Schulich?
3. Any community work you were involved with?
4. Tell me one thing we would not know looking into your application?
5. Challenges you think you will face while doing MBA?
6. Why you applied in Round 3?
7. Any questions for me
It was for around 15 minutes.

35 mins around the following questions with a panel of 3 (it was like a business chat) -
3 - 5 year goal / plan
Work experience which led to decision for MBA
Current role/industry happenings

I was interviewed via Zoom by 2 interviewers, one from the marketing team & one from the admissions team.
1) Introduction & background, how will i be a good fit?
2) Why NUS MBA?
3) What is my role in my current job?
4) Tell me more about your interests/hobbies listed in CV?
5) Talk about one trend in the world that is changing
The interview ended before time so when they asked if i have any further questions, i told them that it ended quickly and had anticipated more. They went further to give me time to talk about Q4 & 5.
Overall it was more of a casual chat and it got me really worried if they are disinterested in my profile.

The interview tone was a mix of casual and formal depending on the type of question and went on for about 35 minutes, with additional time for follow-up questions. The following topics (but not limited to) were discussed:
Introduce yourself
Why an MBA right now
Difficult conversations
Leadership outside of the workplace
Travelling experiences
Conflict resolution
Leadership style
Staying motivated at work
Underperforming teammates
Post-MBA targets
Plan B
The flow of questions was smooth, one leading into another.
All my questions were answered in the end, taking about 15 minutes.

Did a Skype interview (COVID era) with 4 people: Patti (program director), a recent alum, a professor, and a rep from Career Services. It lasted almost exactly 45 minutes.
They were all very nice. Mostly standard MBA interview Qs.
-Why an MBA and why now?
-Why ESSEC?
-Career goals?
-Have you talked to current students? Who?
-Where, geographically do you want to work? We discussed this at length.
-How you handled conflict in the workplace?
-Why did you stay so long at your current company (9 years in my case)?
-International experience, including travel and language skills.
They gave me the chance to ask questions too, of course.
