I just completed by Mendoza interview. Went for about 40 mins and was a very casual conversation. Usual questions of Why MBA now? Why ND? What would you bring to ND? Value of Diversity, Equality and inclusion which is Notre Dame’s values? How do you explain this? Post the interview, i received an email from the interviewer like an acknowledgment.

Before I talk about what I learned from my interview, I’d like to say that it’s important to keep the tone of the interview conversational. This is something I learned from many failed interviews. Be ready with stories from your work life. Took off with 1) Tell me about yourself? 2) Why MBA? Why MBA in Canada? 3) Why Ivey? 4) Tell me about a project where you helped your team to success. What did you learn from doing it? Is there anything you wish you could have changed? 5) Can you tell me about another project in which you led a team to success in a cross-collaboration setting? 6) Tell me about a time when you made a team fail. 7) Since you want to be a consultant, tell me about a recent event in Canada that would make a good case study. 8) Tell me about your start-up project experience? Did you learn anything important? 9) What will you do for Ivey both in and out of the classroom? 10) What steps will you take to make sure you do well in the program? Then, in a 60-minute interview, he gave me close to 20 minutes to ask him questions. I had a list of about five questions that I asked. You should be ready with five or six questions to ask the interviewer. Try to have at least two layers of answers - for counter question-and two examples for each of the above questions.

Why MBA?/talk about post MBA goal and how does that tie to your LT? 7. Questions for me? 8. What skills would you like to develop when you come here? 9. What other places you applied to? And have you heard from them? 10. If I was given 100,000$ for my business what would I do?

Sure! It was very chill, didn’t feel like an interview but like a coffee chat. There’s one person from the admissions committee and one from the career services team. As long as your introduction, why MBA, why Smith answers are well-structured and have solid examples to back with, I don’t think there’s much to worry, since the other questions all depended on what I answered to these. Since I’m a dentist pursuing an MBA, they were very interested in my career shift reason and post-MBA goals. Overall, the interview is definitely like a very friendly conversation, they make you feel super comfortable, and you can be yourself. Just have good clarity of thought about yourself and what and why you want to do this, and I think you can make it! All the best :)

Interview is quite conversational. Adcoms are looking forward for a friendly conversation and not a standard interview theme. Make sure to have an honest pitch and definitely research a lot for post MBA goals. My interview started with introduce yourself > How come canada > why us > 3 professional strengths > research in your target role area > any weakness In your profile > critical feedback received > team work is important for us how do you go about time when someone doesn’t agree with you in team > how do you make plan b. Please reach out if required any help. Yet to get my decision. Will update it once I receive it from adcom.

Given the subjective nature of interviews I have no clue how it went. 😅 It quite conversational and smooth I felt. With an alum. Other than behavioral questions I was asked about DEI and professional risk. For DEI i talked about an experience that’s quite technical and how that work is necessary for fairness and equity, which seemed to interest my interviewer.

Interviewed with an adcom member who seemed kinda bored and unimpressed throughout. Someone had already told me that some of the Kellogg interviewers are poker-faced serious note-takers so I tried to not let that affect my confidence. She often asked me to repeat myself which made me a little worried cause I thought either she's not paying attention to what I am saying or I am not speaking with clarity. It could also either just be that she wanted to get the details correct for her notes. 1. Walk me through your resume 2. How many people do you manage in your current role? 3. What do you love about your current role? 4. Example about working in a diverse team. 5. Biggest career achievement. 6. ST and LT goals - what would you do right after MBA. 7. Why Kellogg 8. Anything else? 9. Any questions for me?

Interview with Adcom member Catie Yielding. Very sweet lady; the interview was conversational and very comfortable. 1. Tell me about yourself including any personal and professional details that define who you are. 2. Follow up: How was the experience working at a start-up different from that of working at an established firm? 3. ST and LT Goals and Why MBA? 4. Why Darden? 5. Any questions for me? 6. Anything you'd like to add? I talked for the most part so 30 min of me talking and 10 min of her answering my questions.

I was interviewed by a member of the admissions committee. It was very conversational and mostly around my experience and some behavioural questions. We started with talking about my journey since I joined undergrad. What were the highlights. Moved to Jobs (why this job, role, growth in responsibilities, project examples, teams you worked with etc) and overall career trajectory. Followed by behavioural questions: How would your colleagues describe you? How has your Leadership evolved? Difference because of diversity in a team? How? What? How would you uniquely contribute to Kellogg community? Hope this helps. Goodluck

Had a 2 hour interview with an LBS 2019 alumni who was also a doctor. I guess my long term goal to build a healthtech startup was a consideration while choosing the interviewer We started with background and overview of my cv Why MBA, why now and why LBS This part took 20-25 mins. Lots of followup questions. Deeply questioning every assumption on 'why LBS and not any other school'. Followed by questions from my application (20-25 mins) US is a better place for healthcare. Why UK then? Tell me about previous startup How do I plan to manage my areas of improvement during LBS? How will I prioritise activities in LBS How does your father’s business struggles affect your future plans to start your own business Followed by some behavioural questions (20 mins) Am I assertive? Would scholarship make or break your application? Have you ever setup a team? How did it go? What does your team think about you? How would you contribute to LBS peers? How is it different? A case presentation (15 mins) Finally, questions for the interviewer (10 mins) Hope this helps. Goodluck!

Interview was with Admissions Director. 1. Tell me about yourself - Follow ups to TMAY : Why I chose my undergrad, How I got my job after graduating 2. Why MBA 3. What appeals to you about the Darden curriculum 4. What organizations would you be a part of 5. Any questions for me I had thought my interview went okay, and was definitely worried/ overthinking, so was excited about the admit! Advice: 1. Research the type of interviews darden has. I definitely think I could have led the convo a bit more, because i think that is the structure of the interview for Darden. 2. Be in the moment, listen to your interviewer w/o planning the future convo, as that allows you to have a conversation and not be rigid if you're nervous.

Was interviewed by the Associate Director of Admissions. Interview lasted about 30 mins: 1. Tell me about yourself - I included why MBA and 2 fun facts about myself here. I talked about how I moved around a lot so she dived into that in depth 2. Why did you move a lot? 3. Where did you have the most memorable time - out of the countries you moved to so far? 4. Do you use your computer science degree at work? How? 4. Was there a time where you had to work in a team, how did that go? What was the outcome? 5. Was there a time where you were not able to perform a task successfully? How did you deal with it, what did you do? 6. Darden encourages inclusion and diversity - what do those mean to you and have you ever been in a situation which involved inclusion and diversity? 7. What are you short-term and long-term goals? and Why an MBA at Darden? 8. Anything else you want to note or emphasize that you want the admissions team to be aware about? 9. Do you have any questions for me? Was told there were no next steps from my side - should get an email/decision by 31st March.

The interview lasted for about 30 mins. She had a very warm countenance and it was conversational. 1. TMA yourself from childhood till now as you’re considering MBA. I used this opportunity to run through my resume, why MBA and why Darden 2. Two Follow up questions based on what I said 3. Tell me about a time you worked in a team or led a team to solve a problem 4. Follow up questions again 5. Any other thing I should know. I used this opportunity to speak about what I’ve done in terms of impact and collaboration. Also elaborated on why Darden is the best fit for me and emphasized that I had engaged a few current students 6. Any questions for me. I had googled her name since I received it the day before and Google took me directly to her page. My long term career goal is kind of in line with what the Adcom does for Darden, so my question was in line with that. So sort of trying to hear from an experienced opinion on what I intend to do. Lastly, she mentioned that decision will be provided in line with the timeline on the website which is March 31st for March 1 deadline.
