I had my interview in Bangalore, off campus in the morning slot. There were 3 alumni. The interview was pretty conversational, and interactive. They started with their introduction, and then I introduced myself. The discussion after this mostly revolved around my industry, organization, projects I had worked on, teams I had worked with, my short term and long term goals. They asked different contributions I had put on my application, both professional and extra curricular. Before ending, they told me that my application was sufficient to understand my background and if there was 1 thing that I had not mentioned in the application. I kept that conversation on a lighter note, and stated a fun fact about me, we shared some laughs over that. You can use this 1 last question and play it to your strength, and that could set the tone of the interview for you. The interview lasted about 25 minutes.

The interview was casual, conversational and the AdCom was very friendly. She had reviewed my application and started with an introduction of herself. Here were the questions: 1. A question about my pick six. 2. Why MBA, why now? 3. Tell me about the team you lead, what are the characteristics of the team that make it successful? 4. What is the biggest challenge do you anticipate during MBA? 5. How do you network in your field? 6. In a hypothetical situation, 10 years from now, you have to give a speech at a conference. What topic would you talk about and what would you say about Stern? 7. Do you have coding experience?

I reached the venue 1 hour 15 mins earlier than my assigned slot time. Also, the interview was delayed by about 35-40 mins. I think the wait time slightly led to a pressure buildup within me. There were 2 panelists. I was expecting the interview to start with the typical tell us about yourself question and had a lot of my explanation tied to that intro. But, the panel straightaway jumped to my current role and its fine details. Spend about 15-20 mins on this topic only. Not sure if they were fully convinced with my explanation about company's short term vs long term strategy. Second question was about my interest in Shariah finance. But, then again started linking it to my current role. Third was about my overall career progression. The next was about my personal interests. Before winding up, the panel gave me an opportunity to explain about something that I'm proud of. This, although looked like a fantastic opportunity, raised some sort of red flag in my mind. For me, it sounded like, "we aren't impressed yet, so do you have something to impress us?". But, I think I was able to pick out an important project that I led during my previous work and explain the impact and my contribution fairly well. Last, they gave me an opportunity to ask questions too. The interview lasted about 35-40 mins. Didn't go in the direction as I thought it to be, but I think that's how it is supposed to be.! We have to expect the unexpected 😃 Overall, I think, it was ok. Couldn't highlight some of my contributions and the impacts I have created at work and during college as much as I wanted to. But, hoping for the best.

Background: B.Tech Mechanical Engineering graduate. I worked in a PSU for 3.5 years in the B2B Sales & Marketing department. Interview lasted 30 minutes. Interview Questions: The panel introduced themselves. There were 2 panel members, both alumni. We exchanged pleasantries. Q1. The first question was straight to the point about the work experience gap: "So you resigned 1 year back. What have you done during this time?" Q2. I briefly went through my roles and responsibilities in the company. Q3. “Talk about the major challenges you faced in the company and how you addressed them.” We had a back-and-forth discussion on this topic. Q4. “You mentioned in your application that you want to switch to consulting. How did you come to this realization?” I shared an instance from my company where my team implemented a novel idea that improved the company’s topline by incorporating a subsidiary’s capability of producing an in-demand product. The panel and I had a back-and-forth discussion regarding the technical and financial aspects of the idea. Q5. “That’s it from us. Do you have any questions for us?” Interview Experience: Overall, the interview had a conversational tone, but I noticed that I did most of the talking. I worry that I might have rambled on too much and missed the opportunity to highlight important points. We spent considerable time discussing question number four. However, I sensed that they were not fully convinced, despite our prolonged discussion. Best wishes for all R3 applicants!

I was interviewed by Laura Hartman from the admissions team. She said that she just had my résumé with her band it was a blind interview. I was asked these questions: 1. Walk me through your résumé 2. What does Leadership mean to you 3. What do you like to do in your free time 4. Weakness 5. What type of leadership experience do you have? Are you currently leading a team. 6. Why USC 7. What brings out the best in you (something along these lines - now i think she was asking me about my strengths, so i guess i messed this up a little bit) 8. Questions that i had for her The questions were not asked in the same order as i have mentioned here. The interview lasted 30 minutes and was pretty smooth. Towards the end when she asked me for any questions i had for her and that was when it became very conversational. Overall, a good experience. Hoping for the best now.

I was interviewed by Daniela Aries. It was a zoom interview. Duration - 45 mins. UBC uses third-party HR folks for interviews. 1. Tell me something not included in the CV 2. Why Sauders? 3. Short & Long Term Goal 4. Examples of EDI 5. Ethical Dilemma 6. Someone who did not work in your team how did you handle it? After the answer gave a follow-up, what if a person is not at all interested in your team what would you do? 7. Manager feedback, how did you work on it? 8. Example of a good leader. 9. How would you contribute to the Sauder’s Community? 10. Why Vancouver? I received the final decision in a week, which was a Ding. IMO I felt the interview went really well and she even suggested at the end to connect with her on LI and speak to her for jobs once I am in BC. Maybe I was too prepared or something.

Following were her questions: 1. Why Foster MBA? 2. What about MBA excites you? 3. What do you think will be the challenges in pursuing an MBA? 4. TMA your goal and talk a bit about your Plan B. 5. What was a constructive feedback that you received? How did you take it? 6. What was the best complement that you got? 7. TMAT when you were working on a project and half way through you realised that you had to change your approach. 8. Why would your Foster batchmates be happy to have you? 9. Any question that I wanted to ask?

I was interviewed by a Second year student. The interviewer introduced himself, spoke a bit about his background and told me about how much of my application is visible to him. 1. Tell me about yourself or walk me through your resume. 2. What are your Short Term and Long Term goals? At the end of my answer he repeated and confirmed what he understood and took notes. (I had answered how I would leverage the job skills provided by UCLA's Career team and the clubs at Anderson to achieve my ST goal. So he said that we can skip the "How will you contribute to UCLA" question) 3. Why MBA? 4. Why UCLA? 5.Which companies am I looking to join after the MBA? 6. Given that an MBA at UCLA would need working in teams, how will you use your strengths to ensure that the desired outcomes are achieved as a team? He was noting down a few points as I spoke. Then, he asked if I had any Questions for him. 1. What clubs he is a part of? His role and the number of events he conducted as executive VP of his club. 2. His career before the MBA and why he wanted to do an MBA? 3. Coolest place on campus and why? 4. Electives that he has taken and why? Since our post MBA goals matched, he was very attentive. Overall the interview was very casual and the interviewer was very friendly and polite.

The interview was very conversational and she was already familiar with application, so any questions she had for me, came from my application. Some of the questions she asked are listed below, interview lasted about an hour. 1. Why MBA/Why Wisconsin 2. Leadership style and examples 3. Time I disagreed with someone/ how I went about it 4. What resources would I use to better make my decision for my MBA specialization (in my application I chose still deciding so I listed 2 specializations. At end of the first semester you must choose one.) 5. Work accomplishment I'm proud of. 6. How I've given back to my community 7. Three words my friends would use to describe me, and examples. 8. Any questions for them

I had two interviews in total. One of my interviewers was a MBA 2022 alumna, and the other was 2018. PART I - Small talk and introductions (5 minutes) PART II - The presentation (10-12 mins total) -I shared a product I marketed in a past role -I walked through an 8 slide Google Sheet presentation that I shared with the interviewers 30 minutes beforehand -Interviewers asked specific questions on the contents: --How did you decide on the pricing? What was the initial feedback you received and how did you respond to it? How do you deal with difficult team members? --I think speaking about a real project gave me more confidence than presenting on an open-ended topic. This also made it feel more like a job interview than a judgment about myself. I also felt like the 'expert' of this content. Part III - Motivational questions (35 minutes) -Why HEC Paris? -Experience in France and speaking French -Post-MBA goals -Can't you transition industries + geos without an MBA? Part IV - Questions (30 minutes) -I asked them why HEC Paris -How studying in France prepared both interviewers to move to London -How did your MBA studies prep for current role + industry -What is a need-to-do activity (club, cafe, course, etc) at HEC? Notes - -Both interviews went 20+ minutes over and we spoke about the interviewer's past, experience, @ HEC, and random similarities -Do research on interviewer. Be ready with personally relevant questions based on their grad year, location, and current job -Have a solid 'why HEC' story. As an American, they asked me about other US MBA programs and why I don't want to do a semester abroad while studying in the States. Overall, it was a positive experience. Both alumni spoke highly of the program. I never felt like I was being caught, tricked, drilled during the chat. Both came across as professional and incredibly smart- certainly people who I would have enjoyed studying alongside.

Hi, I had my interview with a 2nd-year student. It was conversational. The interviewer first introduced himself and told me how the interview is intended to be taken and that he will be taking down the notes while I answer the questions. I had prepared for the interview mainly from interview debriefs, which proved helpful. The interviewer has a set of questions to ask and will ask only those. Most of them are available on this forum only". The interview went on for around 40 minutes. The following questions were asked: 1. Walk me through your Resume/ Introduce yourself. 2. Why MBA. 3. Why Kelley. Then he explicitly said that he will be asking behavioral questions. 4. Tell about your leadership style and what being a leader means to you. 5. TMAT when any member of the team was weighing the team down and how you resolved it. 6. TMAT you experienced failure. 7. TMAT when you received critical feedback. 8. Anything else you want to tell about yourself. 9. Any questions you have for me to ask. (For the last question which is a standard one, I would suggest that one should prepare 2-3 questions because the interviewer told me that no one for past few days has asked him any questions and he would be happy if I asked him something.)

Like most have said, my interview was very casual and started off with a quick ice breaker about my Pick 6. A lot of my questions were specific to my application and my non-traditional background (PR & Psychology major), so I wont go into specifics there. Relevant questions I had were: 1. How would your team describe you (both things you're good at and where you could improve)? 2. Why Stern? Why an MBA? Why now? 3. Greatest accomplishment? 4. How do you prioritize deadlines? 5. Do you have coding experience? 6. What would you do in NYC for a day? 7. Anything you'd like to add? 8. Questions for me? Tips: Know how to talk about your short term career goal, your plan B if you don't immediately get into your desired role, and how you'll leverage Stern's resources to get there. Also, just be yourself because this is an EQ interview. The AdCom member kept emphasizing that the team really prioritizes EQ in the people they choose. Answers that make you seem like you're overly competitive and don't thrive working in group environments might not land because the AdCom member noted that their current class is strong in these particular soft skills.

It was a very standard interview. It was with a current student who worked in admissions. She asked me: Walk me through your resume Why MBA Why can't you accomplish what you want without an MBA What are the criteria on which you selected schools, and why Booth in particular? Short term goals, long term goals How will Booth help you achieve these ST/LT goals A time you had to ask for help A time when you had to engage with someone with an opposing opinion, and how did you approach it She went into quite a bit of depth on the behavioural questions Then she asked me if there was anything else I wanted to share, so I talked about one diversity program I worked on because it was one of my resume "hero points" that had not yet come up Then she asked if I had questions for her. I was able to ask pretty specific questions ebcause she had shared information about herself in the interview process also. This part was very conversational and I felt that we were really vibing, so it was a nice way to end the interview.

It was a very conversational interview with someone who knew very well the career I wanted to transition to. They had consulted my whole application. They had a list of questions and took notes to report everything to Adcom. It was somewhere along those lines: - 1 min summary about myself - Why an MBA? And why Tepper? - What did I do to prepare for this new career? - Something about a difficult leadership situation - What do diversity and equality look like to me, and what did I do to use that in my professional and personal life? - Any questions left?

Interviewed by Andrew Brayda. Lasted about 20 mins. Questions were generic - 1. Tell me about yourself 2. Any international work experience 3. Why MBA? 4. Why Simon? 5. ST and LT goals 6. I asked 2 questions at the end about experiential opportunities and what else he thinks I can work on to be prepared for the Simon experience. It was a pleasant chat!
