Hello,
I have just taken my first diagnostic GMAT test (Official Practice Exam #1 from mba.com) and my results are the following: Overall score: 495
Quant: 75
Verbal: 79
DI: 70. ( I took them in that order)
So far I have studied for a few hours the review from the official practise book for each part to get a taste of the test. Moreover, I have done 5-6 questions from each category to get a little familiar with the question types.
During my moc test I found quant generally okay and doable. I answered all questions on time and I didn’t face any particular time pressure except for some difficult questions that I answered intuitively so I don’t waste time.
On the other hand I did find the verbal very difficult to handle. Even though I have recently taken the IELTS exam with 9.0 on reading, I found it difficult to understand the texts in such a few minutes and therefore I answered many questions intuitively. I had a great problem with time management and the professional style of the questions.
As for the Data Insights I also faced a time management issue. Even though I understood the questions I took more time than I should in the first questions and therefore I answered 4 questions completely out of luck and I didn’t manage to answer 1 question. I would really like a good mark on DI because I want to study Data Analytics.
