I was invited to interview at my dream school 2 weeks ago. Immediately after the interview, i felt that i did not elaborate on my goals enough. But overall, the interview went well and I was hoping for an admit.
Last week, i received the ding email. Then i thought really hard about what the interviewer was asking me, he really wanted me to talk about my business expansion plans in 'detail' (i am an entrepreneur). But he asked it in a very subtle way, and I kind of skimmed past them. I was wary of going off track or talking too much, I tried to keep my answers very direct and specific - but now thinking back, the questions he asked, the sequence he asked them in, he really wanted detail!
Other than that - I feel that I gave really good and detailed answers for why an MBA, why their school etc. So the only reason for ding that i can think of, is career goals question.
Should i write back? perhaps request a reconsideration or a second interview? Does that happen?

I'm afraid good sir that that boat has sailed for this year. If it's your dream school and you got that far though, I'd start thinking about how to prepare for next year.
