Want to mention that the idea behind deferred programs is the admit gives you the ability to take some career risks and do brave things. While Bain is a good starting point- I mean, what’s the incentive to secure a spot for you now when they can evaluate you with the rest of the class the year you plan to attend?this deferred thing is to increase diversity in some ways, getting a wider range of ppl in the class. More consultants is not really the intention so I recommend something social entrepreneurship related after 2 or 3 years where Bain assists with that but not the entire trajectory
Hi, I'm applying for deferred admission and all the applications ask for your pre-MBA plans. I have a job offer from a T2 consulting firm set to start Feb 24. MBB recruiting happens in the fall, I plan to apply then and hope to start working there instead.
Should I add that I plan to try and jump firms? And that I had an offer from them two years ago? Like
"What do you plan to do for the next 3-5 years? If you have accepted an offer, please discuss it here."
'I plan to apply to Bain this fall. I previously received an offer from them, which I rejected to pursue XYZ. I have kept in touch with some partners who are helping me with my application and case preparation. I hope to receive an offer from them again this fall. If not, I have an offer from T2 firm. While there, I plan to...'
Then talk about what I plan to do at the T2 firm if I don't get an offer. Or should I not mention it at all? It is my plan though...
