No, they do not. I am obviously not endorsing you lie or bluff, but it's extremely unlikely that a school will ask you to validate your membership in a club, participation in an organization, or receipt of an award.

If in the extremely rare event that you are asked about, you should obviously determine a way to validate your involvement. Even then, they would need to take your word for it. These AdComs are surprisingly adept at sniffing out people who have a flair for exaggeration.
