I know that in the case of the LSAT, admin officers typically like to see that the student has taken the LSAT only once. If you take it and cancel it immediately, the test appears as a cancellation on your official sheet.
I'm wondering if this is the case with the GMAT as well. If you take the GMAT but decide to cancel it before seeing your score, does it appear as a cancelled test or is there no record of your ever taking it?

I didn't think that it did, but I haven't researched it. Either way, I don't see it affecting your admissions decision anywhere.

If You Cancel Your Scores
* Your scores cannot be reinstated.
* You will not be eligible for a refund of any test fees.
* The score cancellation will remain a part of your permanent record and will be reported on all future score reports.
* You must wait 31 days to retake the exam
Any other cancellation of your scores is at the sole discretion of GMAC and/or Pearson VUE.
