(1) hj = 3
(2) hw = 1/3

i) hj=3

if w=1/3 then hjw=1
if w is not equal to 1/3, we will not have hjw=1

not sufficient

(ii) hw = 1/3

if j=3 then hjw=1
if j is not equal to 3, we will not have hjw=1

not sufficient

combining i) and ii)

hj = 3
hw = 1/3

on multiplying these two we have-
h^2*j*w=1

so if h^2=h, which is possible if h=1, then hjw=1

if h^2 is not equal h(h is other than 1), then hjw will be equal to 1

so together too they are not sufficient.

Answer should be E
