That is a truly amazing story! I'm slated to take the test tomorrow, although a girl - this 'Sparta' attitude is definitely one worth considering and makes more sense than the 'oh god please get me through this' one!
Let's hope all goes well..
I haven't ever done the Manhattan prep tests, but i've gone through the entire OG and the Kaplan guide...
Thanks for sharing your success! Hopefully, I can share one of mine too.

First of all, GOOD LUCK! Second, I think you'll be fine :-) I'm a bit of a freak when it comes to categorization, and I prefer books that analyze and categorize everything covered. That's the only reason why I used Manhattan and not Kaplan. That being said, some people find Kaplan much more helpful and find Manhattan terribly useless. It really depends on your natural skills and the way you instinctively grasp information.

About Sparta, you don't have to be the hoplites themselves haha :-D Just don't go the complete opposite way (e.g. "Confessions of a teenage drama queen" or something)

Cheers!

Definitely same weight of each question relative to each question of CR or SC.

The reason that some people say that RC has more weight is because when you correctly understand the given RC passage and all its tricks, you usually end up solving most/all 4-5 of its questions correctly...and vise versa. This gives you a sort of "bulk" thrust upwards or downwards during the Test.

That being said, there is definitely some merit to making sure you understand the RC passage very well. It's usually a story, and if you understand all parts of it, you'll end up solving it easily

:-D An eyeopening debrief!!All the best for your future endeavors..:).
Some of the tricks are really nice. After going through your debrief I realised a very serious problem with me that is " Oh I am very strong in this area and I got this wrong bcoz blah blah...". Now I understand Self realisation is the key to success!!

Hey Bombol, congrats on the impressive score and detailed debriefs for the exam and the application process. I think this kind of stuff is a huge asset to the community as it showcases what can be done with some good prep and inspires others to follow suit!

Thanks!

Small update: I decided to do the INSEAD interviews, and got into INSEAD. But I decided on Harvard in the end. For me, it was the right decision to make...not because of Harvard's brand name, but again because I really do feel it's my best fit. Good luck and wish you the best!
