Yes, but I think most of the R3 denials were international students, since it's hard for them to get a visa in 2 months.. The other thing is the yield from R1/R2 - a strong yield results in less open spots and lesser need for a large waitlist pool. I am a very optimistic person, so getting myself on the S9 apartment WL was a no brainer, after all.

Nooo highwyre, you should not be fine with a ding. You waited this long, might as well wait for few more weeks, haha. I have a strong feeling that there will be a major movement on Friday and GCers will be celebrating all weekend.

Yes, the decisions will be out on Friday. Hopefully a trip to "6th street" this Friday night to celebrate.

Will admissions be sending out decisions on Friday to everyone on the waitlist or will some applicants not hear anything?

I think outcomes are: 1) decision a) admitted (yay!) or b) dinged OR 2) no decision - remaining on the waitlist (aka purgatory)

Most applicants on WL will not hear - which means that they are on summer waitlist - some will get admitted and some will get denied.

Do you know how the "summer waitlist" works? Any timeline regarding when waitlisters will hear back in the summer?
