ok well quick recap on my tests so far before I launch into what I've done differently:
The first 2 times I wrote the GMAT in a span of 32 days =(
640 both times (second time Quant dropped -2 to M42, Verbal went up +2 V38). Note this was in Jan 2010 and then Feb 5th 2010. I decided never to touch the GMAT again after that.

Changed my mind this January =)
Studied for a month:
GMAT Prep 1: 710 (inflated, too many OG12 repeat questions)
Veritas Free test: 690
MGMAT1: 700
MGMAT2: 700
Princeton (Free test, I wrote this today in the morning before work): 700 AGAIN (ugh)

I've now got 4 MGMATs, the free Knewton, and the free GMAT Prep2 test left. Date is august 3rd, I'm taking leave from 14th July onwards. I don't recommend you launch into tests, let me post in more detail about what I've tried to do differently this time.

I felt the same about GMAT prep with respect to repeat og OG 12 questions. I got the new CD with GMAT Prep tests from GMAC. The quant questions looked good and a good mix of hard and easy questions. But eh verbal had tooooo many SC questions and some CR questions right from the OG 12. But the other intresting thing is, I got only 7 questions wrong and still got a 41 on V. 10 Questions wrong and still 49 in Q. Strange!!!!

I want to know how have u started preparation this time...the score seems to have improved alot....where and how have u started this time differently that the score is consistently 700...its appreciable comin back after 1 yr back to studies and scoring like 700 n all..Impressive

I want to know where and how did u started this time after a gap of almost one year...bcoz the score seems to be impressive after 1 yr gap where u were nt e1 in touch of the concepts...what actually u did diff that made ur score reach 700

What is that u actually tried differently this time that made ur score reach 700 e1 after nt being in touch with the concepts for almost a year..how had u designed u study plan diff this time

What actually u tried differently this time that after 1 years gap u r scoring 700..its appreciable...and i ld like to know how u designed ur study plan for getting to such a gr8 score

very helpful thread, I currently have 4 from Princeton Review and 1 from Kaplan Strategies, planning on picking up the MGMAT guides when full on studying kicks in, so I should have plenty to gauge my progress before Doomsday, December 15th, 2011
