Efficient Ways to Create a 65-Minute Verbal test to practice timing

Question

Hi,

I'm looking for advice or resources on how to create or take a 65-minute Verbal practice test that accurately reflects the GMAT's question mix and difficulty level. My primary objective is to practice my timing strategies, as I tend to miss/guess up to 3-5 Q's which is really harming my score.

If I can use Official questions, that would be even better.

could you use the forum quiz? Or maybe you already tried?

I haven’t really tried doing it but I know a number of people have taken 31-36 question quizzes…

Actually, that was the first thing that came to my mind too and is my go-to plan, unless there is something better with the CAT element.
I like the fact that I can choose official Q's with it. The only little downside is the lack of adaptability based on responses, but I think that is not a huge deal and I can live with that.

I guess, the trade-off is between using unofficial full practice tests out there, which will have the CAT element, but non-official Q's, Vs. Official Q's with the forum quiz, without the CAT element, but I am seeing more benefit in the latter.

I think the other option would be to use the official guide practice system where you can also send the number of questions and the question types I think… but it’s been a few years since I used the system.

Thanks, I will check that out too. The last time I checked, their Q-Pool was a bit small, but hopefully, I can get enough Q's to create a full mock.

There are also question packs that I think cost about 25 or $30 and they come with 300 questions. Available for sale on mba.com

You can choose the number of questions. You can do this with free or paid questions in the focus official practice area

Leveraging the Wiley function may be helpful. It uses the Official-Guide question bank and allows a person to create timed practice sets according to their specifications. You could create a set of 10 SC and 10 CR with randomized difficulty, for example.
