Difficult decision ahead between two great online programs, Emory and IU. Thoughts? I’m an architect and will likely transition into real estate development/ consulting after completing the degree. I’m an experienced professional, +15 years.
- Emory has more prestige, perhaps academically stronger?
- Emory has a real estate concentration
- Emory is relatively new to the online game. Maybe there will be bumps in their delivery/ learning?
- Emory has great placement and salary
- Emory’s close community may not be as effective in online setting?
- IU is firmly the #1 ranked online program
- IU Kelley direct has only one real estate course
- IU is a great alumni base, but I’m in NYC, maybe not their strongest.
Open to all thoughts

I’d love to take two years off and study, but I have great job and can’t put my life on hold at the moment. I’m in this for real education, a different perspective and skills to better do what I do now if the goals don’t perfectly fall in place after the degree.
