Hi everyone,
I am seeking some advice on a crucial decision regarding my MBA journey. I am an Indian male with five years of experience in the IT industry, and I am currently at a crossroads between two offers: Foster MBA and Emory MBA, both offering a 65% scholarship.
A bit about my background: I hold an engineering degree and graduated in 2019. My career aspirations revolve around transitioning into a Product Manager role within esteemed tech giants like Amazon, Google, and Apple in the USA.
Here's where my dilemma lies: while Foster MBA and Emory MBA are both outstanding programs, Emory holds a slightly higher ranking, sitting four to five spots above Foster. Foster's location has good access to major tech companies.
As I gear up to join the class of 2026 this fall, I'm faced with the challenge of choosing between the two. I'd greatly appreciate any insights, advice, or personal experiences that could help me make an informed decision.

Firstly, congratulations on receiving offers from both Emory and Foster! You've got two excellent choices on your hands.
Regarding your career goal of becoming a product manager at top tech firms like Amazon, Google, and Apple, Foster would be the stronger choice due to its proximity to the tech industry and strong connections with these companies.
However, if you're open to other career paths, Emory excels in consulting and finance roles and has a robust network in those industries.
In addition to career outcomes, I encourage you to consider other factors such as the size of the cohort, college culture, location, and climate, as these can significantly impact your MBA experience.

If you have IT experience, and you have a decent brand on your résumé, that recruiters from Amazon or another tech company would find valuable, I can see going and taking this scholarship
